2.0 19.2 GRANITE:Coarse to very coarse grained, becoming medium grained toward bottom; pale orangy grey in upper part, becoming orange toward the bottom; biotite hornblende; fractured, with fractures containing mostly mafic minerals; badly broken locally, weakly altered to fresh feldspar (sausserite).
19.2 21.9 PEGMATITE DYKE:Feldspar, Quartz; pinkish orange; Phenocrysts up to 5 cm; includes 2^o oxides, presumably iron occurring as coarse patches with chlorite; upper contact broken but appears to be at high angle to the CIA; lower contact broken, may be at a very low angle to the C/A.
21.9 27.5 GRANITE:Medium to coarse grained; medium orangy grey; massive; biotite, hornblende; mafic mineral content greater than overlying section; lower contact badly broken; chloritized mafic minerals approaching contact; weakly to moderately altered feldspar (sausserite).

epidotized throughout, increasing with increasing depth; lower contact area is completely epidotized; upper contact at 46 degrees to the C/A, lower gradational over 0.5 metres.
47.8 63.1 METASEDIMENTS (HURONIAN):Argillaceous rocks; locally, layers approach wacke; strongly deformed throughout; highly altered; upper part is pale green due to intense epidotization; with increasing depth, zone becomes dark grey black with local grey and green sausseritized or epidotized patches or layers; occasional calcite stringers and carbonated patches; 2 - 3 07o sulphides (Po, Py) from 59.0 - 62.3, zone also includes calcite veining and narrow carbonated zones.
63.1 75.0 DIABASE (NIPISSING):Fine to medium grained, varied textured; medium to dark grey green; quite highly sausseritized; abundant sausserite veining with small quartz inclusions; very weak to non-magnetic; upper contact irregular, 45 - 90 degrees to C/A with a narrow calcite lens; very minor sulphide throughout.
