LITHOLOGICAL DESCRIPTION

(Overburden)- 40m sand, light gravel, 40-48m gravel coarse no boulders.

(Mafic Volcanic)- fine grained, medium to dark green, soft chloritic matrixwith minor infrequent qtz sweats, snail sections of chloritegrains in bands. Sulphides are mainly pyrite, infrequent Ikaround small qtz veinlets or sweats; foliation 45 degrees toc.a.67.0 73.0 mafic tuff; laminated very fine grained, mediumgrey to brownish; carbonated, minor bands with feldspar grainslaminated at 55 degrees to c.a.76.5 77.3 infrequent garnets to 3 mm.

(Greywacke)- medium grained, medium brownish to brownish grey, soft, moderately laminated, contains small sections rich in feldspar grains, O0 cm, feldspars are white weakly altered to l mm in size; foliated at 55 degrees to c.a.

(Metasediment)- fine grained, medium grey weakly laminated to foliated, minor pyrite to Ik small infrequent feldspar grains.

(Greywacke)- fine to medium grained, medium brownish grey to grey, weakly to strongly laminated as at 85m, 93m. Unit contains 1-1.5m sections with detrital feldspar grains white to 2 mm in size. From 89.3-92.8 fractured at various angles 20-45 degrees to c.a. with alteration halos 2 mm on each side of fracture; laminated at 50 degrees to c.a. at 93.3m.

(Mafic Volcanic)- fine grained, medium to darkg reen with .5m section of soft paler green volcanic, weakly altered, short sections appear tuffaceous.

(Tuff Fragmental)- fine to medium grained, light to medium green matrix hosting fragments to l cm x 3 cm in size, generally .4 x 1-2 cm. Porphyry fragments with white feldspars. Some fragments appear to be fine granodiorite with white feldspars. Infrequent fragments are fine grained mafic volcanics, unit also contains

fine chlorite nodules or crystals. Foliation at 60 degrees to c.a.117.8 119.1 gradational contact fragments disappear, matrix of qtz feldspar in carbonated, minor carbonate veining. Contact 60 degrees to c.a.

119.1 127.1 (Mafic Tuff)- medium grained, with sections of fine grained tuff, unit is medium green, with chloritic soft matrix with carbonate nodules small oriented at 60 degrees to c.a., contact with lower unit 60 degrees to c.a.

127.1 151.9 (Felsic Tuff)- fine to medium grained, medium grey to grey-green qtz feldspar matrix, becoming lighter in colour downhole. Unit is narrowly to widely bedded. Reddish feldspar qtz alteration near top of section (129m). Medium grained sections have detrital feldspars, white, minor qtz veining, minor pyrite in clusters, minor disseminated pyrite. Felsic tuff is interbedded with small O0 cm sections of fine grained mafic/sediments, weakly altered, random distribution.143.6 151.9 feldspar to qtz alteration, reddish feldspar, core highly crushed fractured, 143.6-147.7 minor pyrite.

151.9 183.9 (Tuffaceous Sediments/Tuff)- interbedded sequence of fine grained, med grey to greenish grey, tuffaceous sediments with alteration fractures, pale green, interbedded with feldspar rich tuff, white feldspar grains in small sections to 25X of unit. Moderately bedded at 55 degrees to c.a. Some sections of fine grained sediments contain Ik pyrite as at 165-168m. Minor qtz veining. 178.8 180.0 pale green, altered thinly bedded sediments, pale green, weakly sericitic, bedded at 55 degrees to c.a.

183.9 189.1 (Porphyry)- fine grained, medium grey qtz feldspar matrix with pink feldspar alteration patches hosting white feldspars to 3 mn weakly altered minor qtz eyes. Foliated at 60 degrees to c.a.

189.1 192.2 (Felsic Tuff)- medium grained, medium to dark grey green matrix thinly bedded with small biotite aggregates < l. mm x 5 mm at 60 degrees to c.a., some feldspar grains to l mm.

192.2 196.0 (Felsic Tuff)- fine grained, massive, medium reddish with feldspar

196.0 198.4 (Porphyry)- dark grey to greenish qtz feldspar matrix, nediun grained hosting white feldspar phenocrytsts to l mm and qtz eyes, smokey to white numerous to U. mm in size.

198.4 204.3 (Felsic Volcanics)- fine grained, nediun grey, tinted reddish with henatite staining, qtz/feldspar matrix with infrequent local feldspar grains to l mm, massive.

204.3 218.3 (Intermediate Fragmental)- fine to medium grained, pale green to dark green matrix, hosting fragments of porphyry with white feldspars l x 3 cm fairly coarse fragments and dark grey fine grained felsic volcanic fragments. Fragments are abundant to 214m decreasing to absent by the end of the section. Contacts and foliations at 60 degrees to c.a. Some sections are fractured calcite filled with hematite, 211-214. Matrix is weakly carbonated and small anhydrite veins occur infrequently. Sulphides are nil to 1-3* in finer tuff at end of section.

218.3 223.4 (Felsic Volcanic)- as above.

223.4 245.0 (Intermediate To Felsic Tuff)- interbedded sequence of felsic tuff-fine to medium grained, medium to dark grey with hematitic staining, minor pink feldspar patches and infrequent feldspar grain rich sections, interbedded with intermediate tuff, medium green similar to tuffaceous section in fragmental with biotite aggregates, carbonated and minor sulphides. Both members are moderately bedded 20 cm to 1m local pyrite to 3* in thinly bedded sections. 234-235m. Feldspar rich sections increase towards bottom of section, 242-245; local weak sericite. Locally small qtz veins, foliation at 60 degrees to c.a.

245.0 253.7 (Felsic Tuff)- fine grained, medium to dark grey qtz feldspar matrix locally hematitic, thinly bedded to schistose at 60 degrees to c.a., qtz veining increases to 5X as small O cm veinlets. Local anhydrite veins. Cherty bands or beds occur throughout section. Matrix is weakly carbonated and contain small calcite veinlets UL cm. Pyrite occurs as fine disseminations to 5X locally generally 1-3* biotite occurs as fine aggregates O mm x 5 mm

on foliations. Snail tourmaline veins occur with some qtz veinlets.

253.0 263.8 (Felsic Tuff)- fine to medium grained, dark grey tuff similar to above but moderately bedded with increase in biotite aggregates, qtz veining is reduced, and there is no hematite staining. Pyrite is nil to l*. Foliations are at 60 degrees to c.a., epidote occurs on some fractures and the unit contains small qtz nodules, and feldspar grains.

263.0 271.1 (Felsic Tuff)- fine to medium grained, medium to dark grey as above but with white feldspar grains to 10-15* of section. Biotite aggregates increase in frequency and chlorite nodules stretched along foliations at 60 degrees to c.a.

271.1 276.5 (Mafic Sediment)- fine grained, medium to dark grey green, mafic matrix, foliated to laminated, increasingly felsic down section, multiple fractures at various angles with pale green alteration. Locally sulphides to 10* as at 274.1 to 274.5 fine pyrite associated with qtz veining foliations at 60 degrees to c.a., contact 60 degrees.

276.5 281.6 (Tuffaceous Felsic Sediment)- medium grained, medium grey to reddish grey in hematitic sections, qtz feldspar matrix laminated to thinly bedded locally schistose in nature, with fine pyrite to 1-2*.

281.6 301.9 (Felsic Tuff)- fine grained, medium to dark grey qtz feldspar matrix. Locally medium grained greenish grey and pinkish grey towards bottom of section, tuff hosts feldspar crystals white to 2 mm in size; some sections are weakly bedded and contain ^0 cm bands or beds of mafic tuff. Pyrite locally 1-2* in felsic tuff and in mafics to 3* as fine dissminations and euhedral grains. Tuffs have aggregates of biotite on foliations and chloritic nodules to 4 mm. The chlorite nodules are locally stretched on foliations at 54 degrees to c.a.

301.9 307.8 (Metasediment)- fine grained, medium to dark grey green, with local cherty hematitic sections W9 cm bands. Unit is thinly bedded to laminated mafic groundmass with local bands rich in white feldspars.

Some hematite in matrixwith local hematitic/calcite fractures. Local mafic tuffsections ^0 cm in size. Unit is generally massive, weaklyfoliated to well foliated over short sections. Minor to nilsulphides, locally IX.317.5 319.8 80* white qtz veining no sulphides in nafictuff section, local hematite.336.0 339.0 pinkish hematitic, staining, 5* qtz veining,anhydrite, purple, sulphides 2-3X pyrite, 60 degrees to c.a.356.0 362.1 lighter green, increase in chlorite nodulesminor sulphides, foliation at 58 degrees to c.a.362.1 373.8 fine grained, light grey finer grained, nilbiotite/chlorite possible sericite foliated 65 degrees to c.a.IX pyrite.398.7 422.3 dark grey to locally blackish, infrequentfeldspar rich bands, minor pyrite increasingly maficgroundmass.

422.3 425.0 (Mafic Tuff)- medium grained, medium to dark green, soft, chloritic, carbonated matrix with calcite in matrix and as small grains or nodules. Massive in appearance, but definitely tuffaceous. Ueakly foliated. Contact at 50 degrees to c.a.
