Workshop$Overview
Digify Bytes presents Digi Basics & Entrepreneur Skills workshop, an eight module course which enablesentrepreneurs to be at the forefront of shaping new technologies and business ideas. The workshop helped youngpeople and entrepreneurs understand how to introduce and develop new innovative business ideas that solveproblems in their respective communities. The workshop provided an opportunity for youth and entrepreneurs toenhance and grow their business and digital skills. The digi basics & entrepreneur skills workshop also showedparticipants practical skills to improve business acumen, measure and keep track of progress while constantlychallenging themselves and they understanding of their markets and business environment.
The interactive digi basics & entrepreneur skills workshop also provided young people & entrepreneurs the chanceto accelerate their knowledge of digital marketing as well as raising an awareness about opportunities in the digitalspace. The aim of the workshop is to equip young people and entrepreneurs with the necessary digital skills andknowledge to grow the digital economy. The Digi Basics & Entrepreneur Skills course takes into account that youngpeople want to start businesses. It also addresses how digital marketing tools can help foster this reality. By creatinga solid link between online and offline activities through digital marketing tools, this course helps turn goals andobjectives into a reality.
ABSAMrs. Nomhle Klaas and her co-workers from ABSA bank joint the digi basics and entrepreneur skills workshop and Mrs. Nomhleencouraged the participants to take advantage of platforms and programmes to develop and improve their entrepreneurial skills.
Mrs Nomhle and her co-worker Mr. Brain elaborated on the Ready to Work programme and the opportunities the programme provides topeople across the country and also highlighted thatparticipants will also have access to both the Digify Africa and ReadytoWork online communities where they can receive further learning and insights.

Livity AfricaWorkshop facilitator Mr. KatlegoMohlabane from livity Africa thanked all theparticipants for taking the time to be at the session and explained the format and summary ofthe session.
Mr. Katlego conducted the session with vibrantenergy and interacted positively with the participants, Mr. Katlego delivered the sessionin a manner that made it easy forthe participants to understand the concepts behind digital marketing, content marketing and the importance of developingentrepreneurial skills to ensurebusiness growth, The facilitatoralso touched on the key goldenrules of self-employment and self-discipline and the importance ofbusiness knowledge.
The final part of the session required the Participants to complete an entrepreneurial assessment which tested some of the valuable knowledge gained throughout the duration of the session. After completing the assessment participants were awarded certification.
The workshop afforded local entrepreneurs anopportunity to learn practical digital skills to helpadvance and grow their business ventures.
ConclusionThe workshop was well attended by young people and local entrepreneurs, valuable information and knowledge was shared during the duration of the workshop by the facilitators, presenters and participants. The workshop was highly interactive, both facilitator and participants were enjoying the engagement on some of the module topics, which provided a good learning environment for the participants to digest the information.
The digi basics and entrepreneur skills programme is designed to equip people with practical know how skills to advance and grow a business venture. Skills development is crucial and a very important element in business growth, the workshop provided entrepreneurs with the neccesary digital knowledge to be at the forefront of the digital space and adapting to the forever changing business operations.
