    OBJECTIVE

    This contest invites all digital content creators; professionals, amateurs and students to enter their original work.All valid entries will be judged fairly based on the judging criteria. Exceptional entries will be awarded prizes.

    TBS hopes to build a good relationship with the award winners and support their future creative endeavors in

    various ways, including production and release.

    CATEGORY

    Any style of expression or theme for the Work is accepted.

    The Work entered must be a Digital Content (as dened below), and for the purpose of judging be within 15 minutes in duration.

    For the purpose of this Contest,"Digital Content" shall represent those works meeting one of the following conditions:

    1. Computer graphic animation (2D/3D)

    2. Live-action lms shot/edited by digital movie equipment 3. All 3D-rendered lms (Includes stop-motion and clay animation)

    PRIZES FOR MALAYSIA LOCAL COMPETITION *2

    - F i rs t Pr iz e (1 work) : RM 3,000.00 + invitation to the main Ceremony of DigiCon 6 Award held in Tokyo JAPAN on November 22 2009. *3 *4

    - Second Prize (1 work) : RM 2,000.00 +certicate.- Thi rd Pri ze (1 work) : RM 1,000.00 + certicate.

    - Honourable Mention (1 work) : RM 500.00 + certicate.- Prize for Eort (10 works) : certicate (no monetary prize).

    ELIGIBILITY

    All Malaysain Citizens are eligible, regardless of age.

    Professionals, amateurs and students are eligible for entry.

    The applicant must own the copyright of the lm submitted.

    Music & Sound used in the lm must have been created by the applicant, or otherwise be free from copyright.

    More than one entry per applicant is accepted.

    JUDGING PROCEDURES

    The judging committee, set up by the secretariat,

    will judge the lm fairly.

    The judging committee, the sponsor, and the secretariat

    will not respond to individual inquiries regarding

    the judging criteria and the contest results.

    SUBMISSION DEADLINE & GUIDELINE

    All entries must be submitted by August 20, 2009.(1) Applicant shall download the submission application form from the following Awards Ocial Website

    (2) Applicant must complete the designated application form, enclosed it with the required materials listed below and the medium comprising

    the work (to be securely packed) and submit by mail or in person to the submission address.

    The following information must be specied on the Work

    (including the medium that contains the work) and all the documentation and supplementary materials to be submitted:

    (i) Title of the Work; (ii) Applicants name; (iii) Duration of the Work.

    SUBMISSION FORMATEntries must be submitted on Mini DV or DVD (NTSC or PAL). The following materials are required to be included in submission:

    - Application Form: To be downloaded and completed.

    - Diskette containing a sample image of the Work: CD-ROM or DVD containing a captured still image

    (minimum si ze: 720 x 480 pixels) of a scene that represen ts the Work. The image shall be in the form of BMP., JPG., PICT.,

    TIFF., or TARGA. The extension must be indicated in the title of the image data.

    *ALL ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS TO DIGICON 6 AWARD IN MALAYSIA MUST SUBMIT THEIR ENTRIES TO MDeC.

    *PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SUBMITTED ENTRIES WILL NOT BE RETURNED TO THE APPLICANT.

    *ANY COST INCURRED IN THE APPLICANT'S ENTRY SUBMISSION PROCESS SHALL BE BORNE BY THE APPLICANT.

    DISCLAIMER

    This contest may be cancelled should unforeseen circumstances forced the organizers to do so. In such an event,

    the organizers will not be held liable for the creators and any other persons concerned.

    To ensure fairness, those associated with this contest (secretariat and other sta, as well as sponsors)

    along with their family members are not allowed to enter.

    Each applicant agrees to hold the organizers harmless of any claims whatever, including but not limited to copyright or other intellectual property claims,

    that may be made against any of the Organizers by reason of any such presentation or other use of the entries of the entrant or any part thereof.

    *2 TBS has the authority to determine the prize winner(s) at its sole discretion, including cases in which prize winner(s) is/are not applicable for either one or more of the aforementioned prizes.*3 The First Prize winner for the local competition in Malaysia have a further chance to be awarded as follows at the Main DigiCon 6 Award Ceremony.

    Grand Prize (1 lm) : 500,000 yen as prize money, a trophy, and a certicateFirst prize (3 lms) : 250,000 yen as prize money, and a certicateSecond prize (6 lms) : 50,000 yen as prize money, and a plaque

    The Main Award Ceremony is scheduled for November 22, 2009 (Sun) in Tokyo (Marunouchi Building Hall)*4 TBS will arrange for the Malaysian winners i nternational air transportation (economy class), domestic transportation, accommodation and meals during the stay in Japan, if he/she chooses to

    attend, but only to the extent necessary, at TBS' cost. Domestic transportation within the Territory or elsewhere and the cost for acquiring his/her passport an d/or visa shall be his/her responsibility.Should an international visa be required, TBS will furnish the necessary documentation to facilitate its application. The airline ticket to be provided by TBS is non- casha ble under any circumstances.For the avoidance of doubt, cost of "Domestic transportation withi n the Territory" shall mean the any transportation cost incurred for his/her access to the local airport which will be the origin of the ighttrip issued by TBS.

    Films will be judged based on the following ve criteria:

    Creativity

    Expressiveness

    Design and artistic quality

    Quality of the picture

    Eective use of music and sound eects
