The word daimon is used herein in the classical or, more precisely, Platonian context and means higher self or genius. It is very easy to see that the percep-tion of certain subjects is the result of indoctrination. In one culture a given concept may be considered sacred, whereas in another it becomes bastardized. Information can be manipulated in order to serve our own purposes, and the history of well-established mainstream religions is full of such misuses. The concept of demon became evil because it was able to bring one to the realization of Self, which for worshipers of death-god was identical with the original sin. On the surface it is difficult to see a connection between a daimon and Chaldean priests, however Chaldean mythology provides many references to shedu, also known as lammasu, storm-demons represented as winged bulls. They acted not only as protective entities, but also keepers of the gates of dawn or illumina-tion. The Birth of Tragedy by F. Nietzsche was another very important source for these lyrics. The text focuses mainly on exploration of Dionysian aspects of Apollo/Dionysus dichotomy: chaos, intoxication, celebration of nature, excess and glorification of the wholeness of existence. To make this message more powerful, we used excerpts from The 44th Orphic Hymn dedicated to Dionysus.

DAIMONOS(music and lyrics by Nergal)

SHEMHAMFORASH(music and lyrics by Nergal)

The Shemhamforasch is an epithet for a 216-letter name of God discovered by medieval kabbalists, who read the letters of three verses of the book of Exodus in a specific order. The name is composed of 72 groups of three letters, and each of these triplets was considered the name of an angel or higher intelligence. According to the magical tra-dition, King Solomon evoked 72 demons, confined them in a bronze vessel sealed by magical symbols, and obliged them to work for him. These demons are catalogued in various magical grimoires, most notably in Lemegeton, which describes their powers, appearance and manner, as well as instructions for controlling them. These demons are the shadows of the 72 angels of Shemhamforasch. Using their names and sigils, we are able to call on various demons for various favours. Regardless of our opinions on subjectivity or objectivity of such a phenom-enon and despite our interpretative model of their existence, be it ontological (magicko-religious) or epistemological (magicko-scientific), certain things do happen. Demons and angels enable us to categorize life experiences and to face them more consciously. Our life and art is not about developing ideologies and different „isms”. It is a battlefield of opposite forces, and pangs of childbirth whose name will be Perfection.

Whilst listening to the first demo versions of this track I had an over-whelming impression that every single tone is filled with the omni-present spirit of Dionysus, the god of ecstatic chaos and source of pure joy, reaching far beyond false boundaries between good and evil, life and death, love and hate. Dionysian rave focuses entirely on Here and Now, experiential knowledge, intuition and passion. All of these are essential factors or components of any form of art. A world governed by such virtues cannot be corrupted or repressed by order, which every culture or civilization tries to enforce. Its nature is much more primordial and pure. The same is true about creative chaos; it goes beyond any kind of intellectual analysis or speculation. It becomes a released energy, a realised potential, and it is never inert. Let us rejoice for we are as streams of lava erupting under our oceanic and cosmic Will.

TRANSMIGRATING BEYOND REALMS OV AMENTI (music by Nergal; lyrics by Krzysztof Azarewicz)

Again, on one level of interpretation, these lyrics deal with the concept of a dead soul and its inevitable fate. This term was coined by Aleister Crowley and denotes human beings who live like automatons, consumed by their desires and mammalian imprints. Amenti or Duat in Egyptian mythology de-noted the Underworld, the abode of souls after death. Like the sun-god Ra, we de-scent into our own hells to face all aspects of life, to revitalize ourselves and to steal fire not only from heaven but also from the cauldrons of the deepest pits. There is no god but man. There is no devil but god. Verses of this song conceal the keys which can guide us beyond the state of worm-like life, to transmigrate beyond the reality of dead souls.

He who breeds pestilence is a reflection of limitless freedom and the autonomy of every man. This ethos can be attained only by denying existence of the higher being commonly called God. I was inspired by the words of Jean-Paul Sartre: if there is to be an autonomous free man, then God must die. This brings us to the following conclusion: there is no good a priori since there is no God who could create it. The only one who exists is a man creating a horizon of his values, demarcat-ing all boundaries. He is the sole source of his morality. Contemplating the idea of freedom, I was repeatedly confronted with omnipresent and omnipotent feelings of loneliness and emp-tiness. Surprisingly, that vast abyss was never frightening, but infinitely fascinating. I was joy-ously able to exchange all those transcen-dental or ontological conditions into never-satisfying states of anxiety and hunger. These emotions very often bring pain but, on the other hand, inspire and motivate me on my path.

The seed ov I is the true essence of every star. It is not the ego but rather the Self. It is rooted deep in the fertile soil which for a disabled Naza-rene was considered dead matter. Roots of the seed reach depths of the Underworld, and those of us who want to achieve heights must also explore depths. One of the portals leading to the Underworld, to the realm of subconscious stratum, is Necromanteion - an ancient Greek temple of necromancy devoted to Hades and Persephone. The word Nekromanteion means “the Oracle of Death”. Today’s world seems to be nothing more than the realm of the dead. Weak and vile humans creep into the dirt from which they sprang. The stream of Acheron takes them down to their final destination and their bell strikes for the last time. The only way out is to perfect ourselves through the alkhemical process of transforma-tion, to enter the realm of the dead, take the prima materia, and metamorphose it into pure philosophical gold. We descend through a chthonic series of meandric corridors of life making offerings to the gods as we pass through the gates of initiation into mysteries of existence. The nobility of our acts, courage of our hearts and strength of our bodies are the practical keys for this Great Opus. Parts two and three of these lyrics were inspired by the Orphic Hymns translated by Thomas Taylor (1758-1835) and should be considered as incantations of our highest aspirations.

Tyranny preys on fear. Most human beings are slaves of abhorrence, anxiety, cowardice and despair. The communion they partake in is abomination and the name of their sacra-ment is a stupor which ends in a final sleep of the soul. The bounds are so painful and the chains are so strong that they prefer to hum-bly kneel before the reality with eyes fixed on the cold floor of churches, town halls and banks. If any of them think we are here to reb-el for the sake of rebellion, they are mistaken. Our goal is to bring fire from heaven and hell in order to purify the corrupted state of be-ing. We fear nothing. Our aim is to transgress the barriers of slavery, to rise and awake, to transform fear into philosophical awe of the universe, which heavily falls on our fragile bodies and crushes our souls with the totality of experience.

These lyrics are powerful enchantments calling forth divine force and fire – weapons enabling us to leave the world of limitations, tyranny and restrictions behind. They invoke mighty archetypes of ancient Khem and its sidereal legacy. Tyranny and sin are the weapons of Black Brothers, slaves of rot-ten rood and servants of the biggest sect in the world. If they want kingdom on the Earth – so mote it be! Our kingdom is that of the stars!
