Digital Portfolios and profiles are becoming more and more important in today’s society. Standing out in a unique way online is what is getting individuals hired on the spot. Holt is

general is a common last name. To have Ashley sitting in front of Holt really doesn’t help the specific search when looking for myself, interests, hobbies and professional life online. In the

internet world, I am currently non-existent. With there being a famous chef named Ashley Holt as well as a popular news anchor with the exact same name, standing out on the internet is almost slim to none. No social media or personal unused profiles are retrieved during the search

at this point, nor am I an associate to anyone else’s profile(s.)

Future Career Goals Include:

5 Years:

PR Professional in Special Events

Planning my 3rd Annual Christmas event for a major city

Preparing a brochure for local residents advertising upcoming events for the following season

10 Years:

PR Professional in Special Events

Expanding and revamping prior engagements and major events

Starting and creating new programs for local youth

In order to achieve these goals, my online persona has to increase and stand out in some way. The following are ways to update and improve my social media outlets to better my digital impression for future and prospect employers.

Facebook:

Delete unprofessional content, materials and photos

Adjust privacy settings

Add work related content that involves hands on photos and reviews for events previously worked

Instagram:

Adjust privacy settings

Add more videos and special event schedules with location, time and date

Linked-In:

Add professional headshot

Update work experience

Add volunteer and special skills

Include current school, major and status

Create a blog for upcoming and past events worked

List awards and certificates received for achievements in the PR department
