FunctionThe (remote control) dimmers modulate lighting brightness for unit powers from 50to 1000 VA from one or more switch-on points.Products in the range whose terminology includes an "o" are fitted-out with an opticallink enabling them to communicate with one another without wiring to allow:extensions to powers greater than 1000 VAb additional functions (brightness regulation, indication, lighting level override, timedelayed scale, etc.) by combining auxiliariesb a three-phase distributionb a distribution on different types of lamps with centralised control.Optical transmission runs from left to right: the device furthest to the left controls theother devices.

DescriptionA (remote control) dimmer is chosen according to:b the type of lighting, the control and variation range requiredb the auxiliary function required (maintaining a constant level of br ightness,overriding a pre-set level of brightness, time delayed scale, etc.).

The dimmers and remote control dimmers comply with standards: IEC 669-2.1,NF EN 60669-2.1, EN 55-014, NF EN 55-014 (disturbance suppression).

The dimmers and remote control dimmers are designed to operate from -5 Cto +50 C. However, between 30 C and 50 C, a 30 % reduction in acceptable powermust be anticipated:b for small unventilated enclosures or cubicles housing many power switchgearitems (circuit-breakers, contactors, solid state contactors, remote control dimmers,etc.)b for ambient temperature in room likely to be greater than 30 C (allow for annualtemperature variations). Inserts (catalogue number 27062) are then necessary toseparate remote control dimmers from devices with high losses.
