In Ayurveda there is one chapter

Dincharya means Daily Routine

In order to keep tridoshas in state of healthy equilibrium and digestion & metabolism

(Agni) in proper Order Ayurveda recommends every body a specific daily routine

called Dincharya

RISE BEFORE THE SUN

BRUSH YOUR TEETH

DRINK ONE GLASS OF WARM WATER EMPTY STOMACH

GO FOR BOWEL MOVMENTS

EXERCISE AND MEDITATE FOR 30 MINUTES

DO SUN SALUTATIONS

MASSAGE OIL ON WHOLE BODY

Page 11: DINCHARYA

Put few drops of oil on end of little finger and apply

inside the nostrils

Scrap off toxicated coating of ama from tongue

Take hot water bath

Do proper cleaning of your nose

Do proper cleaning ofyour nose

Wash your eyes with water

Page 17: DINCHARYA

Keep your nails filed

Wear clean clothes and worship God

Take nutritious food according to your body type

Start your daily work/job

Relax a while after lunch

Eat in a calm & settled environment

Sip warm water through out your meal

Drink atleast 7-8 glasses of water a day

Drink warm water whole day when ever required, Warm

water is very good for digestion

Chew your food properly. Focus on eating not on talking, reading

or watching TV

Eat properly cooked food

Leave 1/3 of your stomach empty

“Poorte Ashnaina Aradha Treetya Udkentu,Vayo Sanchannarthaye Chaturth Avasheshayet”It means “One should fill half stomach with food and

leave 1/4 for water and 1/4 for movement of air”

Avoid ice cold food or drink

Allow few hours between meals and bedtime

Try to eat bulk of your food at mid day and lighter at night

Every body should make use of all tastes in food like Sweet[Madhur],Salty[Lavan]

sour[Amla],Sharp[Tikt],Bitter[Katu],astringent[Kasaya]

Never suppress physical natural urges as hunger,

thirst,sneezing, sleep,elimination, yawing,vomiting &

ejacuations for it will lead to diseases

Wear clean,light and airy clothes made of natural fibres

Never wear anyoneelse’s clothes

Aviod wearing anyone else’s socks because energy is brought into the body through the crown of head & exits from the soles of feet & the polluted energy usally

collects in the feet.

Sleep promotes proper growth.Night is natural time to sleep and mid day for catnaps.

Catnaps should not be more than 15 minutes except very

young,very old,very week,intoxicated or diseased

Sleep on right side is most relaxing like yoga.On the left

side it is most digestive & increases interest in

food,sleep,sex.Sleeping on back or stomach invites

diseases

So understanding & adopting all these facts can help us to make our body free from aggravated tridoshas hence from diseases

“Vinaapi Bhaishjyarvidhi Pathyadev NirvartateNa tu Pathya Vahinsaya Bhaishjanam Shtearapi”

It means “No medicine is required by a person who carefully follows the prescribed diet scheme. But

one who does not follow this principle of diet cannot be helped even by hundreds of medicines”
