Built around 1904 and lovingly restored by Isle of Man Railways in Spring 2013, the beautifully appointed Dining Car is one of only a handful

of narrow gauge dining cars in the world.

Bookings are now being taken for small and large groups up to 66 people.

A dining experience for everyone...From ‘pie and mash’ to ‘fine dining’ menus, all the meals are prepared by our on board chef using the freshest of locally sourced ingredients (where available) to create

tempting seasonal menus for every palate.

Choose our Manxman Afternoon Tea service and experience afternoon tea like no other.

How to book

Due to the popularity of The Dining Car, advance booking is essential. All reservations must be made at

least 24 hours in advance. It’s easy to make a reservation, simply call the booking clerk at douglas Station,

tel 01624 697457, email steamdining@gov.imor call into The Tickethall, Douglas Station.

Your train journey and meal must be paid for at the time of booking.

Boarding for The Dining Car is 20 minutes prompt before the train’s departure.

Group bookings need to be made one week in advance.
