Apollo Instruments’ collimated laser diodes offer high power with superior beam quality. These compact devices deliver output beam power ranging from a few watts to a few kilowatts. The low powered devices are conductively cooled, ready for mounting on a heat sink. The high power devices are water-cooled. Collimated laser beam can easily be focused or combined with conventional optics to provide the exact spot size or beam profileneeded. Apollo’s collimated laser diodes provide an ideal beam source for system integration, and offer the simplest, easiest way to deliver high power laser light to a variety of applications.

Apollo Instruments’ single fiber-coupled laser diodes offer high brightness and high power with superior beam quality. These compact and high-brightness devices deliver up to 7 kW through a single fiber with core diameter ranging from 0.05-1mm. Fiber-coupled modules up to 60 watts can be conductively cooled, ready for mounting on a heat sink while the higher power devices are water cooled. Our fiber-coupled laser diodes provide an ideal beam source for system integration and offer the simplest and easiest way to deliver high-power laser light to a variety of applications.

One of the unique characteristics of Apollo Instruments’ fiber-coupled devices is that all the output is emitted from the fiber core without cladding mode. On the other hand, due to the architecture of the optical path, it is possible to install custom optical components such as filters when necessary.

Apollo Instruments’ turnkey systems offer high quality beam by integrating fiber-coupled laser modules with laser diode drivers. Easy to use and yet providing exceptional safety for the laser diode device and operator, these compact, rack-mountable systems are capable of delivering the same high power and high brightness as our fiber-coupled and collimated modules. The systems can be controlled locally from the front panel or remotely through the RS-232 or remote control ports. Pulse applications can be triggered externally or with the sytem’s internal function generator (both capable of achieving minimum pulse widths of 100ms). Optional customizations range from specialized pulse specifications to multi-fiber outputs. All devices can have a single wavelength output ranging from 780-980nm. The S600-XXX-6 fiber-coupled turnkey system delivers 600W from a fiber core diameter of 600 microns, NA 0.22. Similar high power systems such as the S500-XXX-4 and S150-XXX-2 continue to set the limits of high power and high brightness for many diverse applications.

Apollo Instruments’ laser diode drivers operate in either CW or QCW mode with up to 65A of output current (120A version available upon custom order). The rack-mountable drivers can be controlled locally from the drivers’ front panel or remotely through the standard RS-232 interface or remote control connector. Proven protection features are installed to safe-guard

laser diodes. Pulse applications can be triggered externally with an external modulation input port or with the system’s internal function generator-both capable of achieving minimum pulse widths of 100us with several waveforms and a wide range of frequencies. Various compliant voltages are available. You can operate one to multiple high power laser diode arrays with the ease and reliability of Apollo Instruments’ drivers.
