Use in daily or weekly cleanroom practice In order to carry out
a disinfection process with DioProtection (= DiosolGenerator +
Diosol) a special education is not required. Any openings of the
empty room have to be sealed according to cleanroom requirements.
Then place the aerosol generator at the edge of the room with a
distance of 1 meter from the walls. Always take the individual room
conditions into consideration. Make sure that the nozzle of the
generator is working in a diagonal direction towards the inner part
of the room. After the system positioning and calculation of the
room volume in m3 is done, the process can be started (in case of
large glass areas or high level of contamination please set higher
values). The operator must leave the room within 30 seconds after
starting DiosolGenerator. Ensure that no one will enter the room
during the application time and the exposure period. The
disinfection process has been completed after 90 minutes without
any visual residues. The exposure limit value respectively the
hydrogen peroxide content in the air is now back in the harmless
range (< 1,0 ppm).
Three fixed device settings available for room size:1=100m³,
2=250m³ und
3=450m³.

All relevant stages of the room decontamination
1. Preparation of generators and cleanrooms During the first
stage of the process the room being decontaminated has to be
prepared which means non-compliant equipment will be removed from
the room. Place and adjust the generator according to the operation
manual.
2. Fumigation / Nebulization / Cold-fogging / Hydrogen peroxide
mist The nebulization of Diosol room disinfectants is based on a
highly effective broad-spectrum hydrogen peroxide enhanced with
silver ions to increase effectivity. Through nebulization the
stabilized H2O2 is going into a gaseous state. Ultra-fine aerosols
of the agent are then being uniformly distributed in space by the
nozzle system.
3. Exposure time The exposure time of the disinfection process
starts as soon as the corresponding concentration of H2O2 has been
reached. When adjusting the system to 100 m3 the exposure time
approximately starts after the process time of 6 minutes. This is
directly after the process time (nebulization) or saturation of the
room. At the same time the existing hydrogen peroxide is starting
to biodegrade (please see chart).
4. Biodegradation / Ventilation When the exposure time is over
hydrogen peroxide in the air is broken down into water steam and
oxygen. In case of nebulising higher Diosol concentrations (>
5%) the biodegradation (after exposure time!) can be accelerated
through complementary actions (e.g. by activating the room
ventilation or opening windows and doors).
