The thrill of discovery. That is my best description of what
happens when we make it a priority to go on adventure with
God. As we read the Bible, we have such mental pictures
of the lives of the disciples and the amazing events they
experienced. The great news is that Christ has called each
one of us to be disciples. That means each one of us can
have the same thrill, excitement, joy and awe that the
original disciples had as they came to know Jesus and how
He made a difference in their lives.
I encourage you to begin your journey of discovery now.
Our Wednesday night discipleship classes and activities are designed for you and your
family, so that everyone has the opportunity to discover God in new and personal ways.
God is so big that we can spend our lifetimes getting to know him and we will get the
same thrill of discovery on our last day just as we did on our first.
Becoming a disciple of Jesus Christ takes commitment and effort. But the results are
greater than you could ever expect. Wednesday nights at FBC may look like just another
thing on the schedule of your very busy week. In reality, however, they are energizers
and adventures with God. Each and every time you sit down to spend time and know
Him better you will experience the thrill of discovery and what it means as Jesus makes
you into His disciple.

House of Prayer
On special Wednesday evenings, the entire family of the
people of God gather together for a time of prayer. Kids,
students, young adults and adults of all ages come together
in the Worship Center to share in a time of calling on the
name of the LORD.
Each of these prayer services are built around a central
theme and include songs of worship, hands on elements
such as a cross, writing in the sand as Jesus did, and
opportunities for private and family prayer. You are
invited to come and meet with God in a way which you
may never have experienced before.

Through music, bible, missions and hands on activities, your child grows in a Jesus centered
way. Special events and guest speakers allow your child to see God at work in the whole wide world.

Pastor’s Bible Study: No Cost The book of Galatians
Join Dr. Michael Wilson as we study the Letter to the Galatians. The letter contains some of the most powerful and memorable teachings in scrip-ture including passages on the fruit of the Spirit, freedom from
the law, and justification through faith and not due to works.
Many refer to Galatians as a letter about freedom in Christ, with a focus on life with Jesus versus a life lived in fear of the law. This is perhaps Paul’s earliest letter and he spends some time demonstrating how life can be different when lived through the power of God rather than the power of mankind.
In biblical times, names communicated a person’s essence-their history, nature, or character. That’s why God revealed Himself by dozens of different names in Scripture. No single name could convey the fullness of His character
and works.
In this study, pastor Tony Evans examines prominent names of God in Scripture. God’s names invite you to know Him as Creator,
Ruler, Provider, Warrior, and more. We will explore the biblical meanings of the names and related attributes of God. By understanding His names, you can experience Him more deeply.

5 Love Languages: Of Children
Kids desperately need to know how much you love them. But if you don’t know their special “love languages”, you might as well be speaking gibberish. Every child (like every adult) expresses and receives love best through one of five communica-
tion styles. Find out which love language your child speaks.
If your love language is different from your child’s, you’d better learn to translate fast! Or you could miss your chance to meet their deep-est emotional needs. Discover how to express unconditional feelings of respect, affection and commitment that will resonate in their souls and inspire them for the rest of their lives.

$10 (Workbook) Self study w/ help Spanish is the third most spoken language on earth and knowing some basic Spanish is becoming an essential skill in connecting with people. As FBC undertakes
missions to Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Mexico, and Peru, learning some basic Spanish will help you feel more comfortable and become more effective in your service to God’s people.
This self-study course will help you grasp enough Spanish to be polite, ask for things you need, and share basic truths about God and the love of Jesus Christ. Teacher Sara Fambrough is there by email to answer and assist at any time you hit a trouble spot.
The Purpose Driven Life: By: Rick Warren
The purpose of your life is far greater than your own personal fulfillment, your peace of mind, or even your happiness. It’s far greater than your family, your career, or even your wildest dreams and
ambitions. If you want to know why you were placed on this planet, you must begin with God. You were born by His purpose and for His purpose.
Meet each Saturday morning with our Men’s Encouragement Group for a great time of fellowship and share in the journey of discovering God’s purpose for your life.

Women’s Study: Covenant $20 (Book) By: Kay Arthur
Covenant explores God's initiatives with humanity by studying His covenants throughout history. Kay shows that the idea of covenant - God's enduring promise - is key to understanding our relationship to God. Explore the benefits and responsibilities of covenant as well
as the character of the covenant initiator. Learn about the remarkable ways the old covenant points to the promises of the new covenant.
Believing what God says about covenant will absolutely transform your life. Promises made are kept. Relationships last a lifetime. Trust and commitment are honored by action. Discover the covenants made for our well-being, the covenants God made for you.
The Truth Project: Focus on the Family
In a recent study, the Barna Research Group revealed a stunning statistic that continues to reverberate throughout the evan-gelical world. Only 9 percent of professing Christians have a
biblical worldview. Because of this, today's believers live very similarly to non-believers. A personal sense of significance is rarely experienced, we spend our money and time on things that fail to satisfy and we begin to wonder what life's ultimate purpose really is. We are, in short, losing our bearings as
a people and a nation. To counter this slide within the body of Christ, Focus on the Family has launched one of the most ambitious and powerful projects in the history of their ministry - The Truth Project .

Mingling of Souls: By: Matt Chandler
