Clinton, MO
RETURN SERVICE
REQUESTED
Thank you to the youth and adults of the church who came and sang Christmas songs Sunday afternoon. Love, Roma Woods
Then the angel said to
her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have
found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in
your womb and bring forth a Son,
and shall call His name Jesus.
Luke 1:30-31
I am so thankful for the pampering of my
church family as I recuperate. The yummy tur-
key dinner and communion in my home, all the
cards, calls and especially your prayers are
treasured. Pastor David’s hospital visit and con-
cerns.
I love my church family!
Claudine Howery
Thank you for the delicious turkey din-
ner. More thanks too, for thinking of
me.
Marilyn Gover
Earl and Willie Mae Smith want to thank each of you for all of the cards (some had notes), the visits, those who called and of course the two fruit plates from CWF. They didn’t last long. Most of all, thank you for the wonderful surprise Thanksgiving dinner that was brought to us. When the church ladies cook, we all know the food is great. That art of kind-ness kept me from cooking! Again, Thanks
We always fondly re-member how beautiful and inspirational the
Christmas events there at Clinton Christian Church have always been. May the traditions continue!
Dorothy and Jim Harlan

A substantial gift was given to Church-In-Society to purchase Christmas gifts. With part of the money given, Church-In-Society and the youth group leaders took the chil-dren of our church’s youth groups to Walmart to purchase gifts for the children’s parents. The remaining money was used to purchase bicycles and additional cake mixes for Project Christmas Cheer and the Angel Tree on the downtown square.
Offering envelopes for 2015 will be ready to be picked up in the Holy Grounds Room after Sunday Dec. 28th. Please contact JoAnne Kemper at 885-2834 if you would like offering envelopes for 2015.
Thank you SO much to the CWF group for the thought-ful Christmas gift. Also, a BIG Thanks to the congrega-tion for your cards and the staff love offering. It was all very thoughtful and VERY much appreciated! I hope everyone has a great 2015!! Thanks and God Bless! Sara
Pastor David’s Pen Happy New Year...Let’s Start It Off Right! As we embark on a new year together, I want us to focus on God’s love for us. Remembering this, we can begin this new year following the path of the Lord because He will set our hearts and our minds straight. When we learn to lean on the Lord we will find true compassion for the world. Isaiah 26:7-11 speaks to this directly. When it comes to the New Year, we think it is a time to start our lives over again, make different choices and really fix or forget our mistakes. As we begin the New Year together as a family of faith, it is my hope and prayer for all of us that the days and months ahead will be rich with opportunities to deepen our relationship with God and with each other. One way in which we will begin to accomplish this is on Jan 10th @ 8a.m., the Elders’ and myself invite the congregation to come together for a conversation about what the future holds for us at Clinton Christian Church. Our guest that morning will be Georgia Stuart-Simmons who will lead us through the conversation together. SEE YOU IN CHURCH ON THIS FIRST
SUNDAY OF A NEW YEAR!!
