IMPORTANT TO MAIL EARLY!!
From my heart… When I think about what to put in this
small space, it seems most of what I would write is already
written in a different space or has been shared by someone else and
that is just fine! The Spirit of God is stirring the hearts of the people at
Anderson Hills Christian Church and the results are visible...you’ve
seen them, too: new members, a Baby Dedication, a Baptism, the
Transition Team “Pizza and Pondering” evening, Pastor’s Classes,
youth signed up for Camp Christian, areas cleaned up, new paint
applied. The evidence of God’s work continues...beautiful flowers
blooming, the parsonage rented (again!), the parking lot getting
sealed in preparation for summer activities - VBS and more.
People are praying and prayers are being answered. People
are serving in various areas and saying yes to new roles and tasks.
There are always people I am wanting to say “thank-you” to - like
Susan Smith for cleaning the baptistery, Chris Eichorn for filling the
tub and assuring there was warm water Sunday morning...Jenny and
Brian Cox (and I think a friend of Jenny’s) for painting the large
Sunday School room in the original building!!
I encourage you to say thank you to people as you see things
happening - let us never take one another for granted.
“Let us hold fast to the confession of our hope without
wavering, for he who has promised is faithful. And let us consider
how to provoke one another to love and good deeds, not neglecting to
meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one
another…”Hebrews 10:23-25 Blessings, Rev. Nancy
Do you know everything that is going on at AHCC? Do you see all of the sign-up sheets, posted notices, announcement slideshows, newsletters, bulletins, and emails; use the official church calendar; visit the website regularly; hear the announcements during the service; view our Facebook page often? These are just some of the ways we communicate at AHCC.
We have a lot of tools at our disposal, and we could put some of them to better use. With the upcoming start of the new church year, you might notice some things changing around AHCC with our communication tools and processes.
One of the first things we will implement is a church management software program to help keep and update membership information. This will help us streamline and automate mailings, member updates, and directory creation. It will eventually do much more than that as we learn to use it to its fullest potential.
I’d love to hear your ideas on how we can better use the tools we already have and how we might implement some new ones to help streamline our communication efforts—not just within our walls, but to the community as well. We want to get the word out about who we are, what we do, and how we can help.

Praise God for hearts that are being stirred!
Tom Braswell came forward on May 10th to reaffirm his faith in Christ and his commitment to AHCC . Kay Waits also came forward on May 10th to make her confession of faith in Jesus Christ and place her membership here at Anderson Hills Christian Church. We were glad to rejoice with Kay on May 17th as she was baptized.

Tuesdays at 7 pm at locations announced weekly. We typically walk
for an hour and we will meet at different trails/parks in the Anderson and Clermont County area each week. This year we will be discussing the previous Sunday sermon while we walk. This is a great way to get to know each other a little better while getting in some good exercise. For additional information you can contact Laurie VanDierendonck at 513-608-8284.
Anderson Hills Christian Church is pleased to
offer a preventive health event. Life Line
Screening, a leading provider of community-
based preventive health screenings, will host
their affordable, non-invasive and painless health
screenings on 6/26/2015.
Five screenings will be offered that scan for
potential health problems related to: blocked
arteries which is a leading cause of stroke;
abdominal aortic aneurysms which can lead to a
ruptured aorta; hardening of the arteries in the
legs which is a strong predictor of heart disease;
atrial fibrillation or irregular heart beat which is
closely tied to stroke risk; and a bone density
screening, for men and women, used to assess
the risk of osteoporosis.
Register for a Wellness Package which includes
4 vascular tests and osteoporosis screening from
$149 ($139 with our member discount). All five
screenings take 60-90 minutes to complete. In
order to register for this event and to receive
a $10 discount off any package priced above
$129, please call 1-888-653-6441 or

Moderators morsels... Greetings! With June comes the beginning of summer and the end of our church year.
In case you haven’t heard, here are some happenings in the life of our church:
Ministry Highlights: We have some great outreach activities coming up. On June 29 AHCC will host the Monday community meal that is usually done at LCR because their fellowship hall is undergoing some renovation. The meal will be at 6 pm and the menu is still being decided. You will hear more about opportunities to volunteer soon! Additionally, we are hosting a Lifeline screening on June 26 from 8:00-5:30. We will likely need a few volunteers for that also—please see Kathy Zwayer if you are able and interested.
On the Education front, we are using a new curriculum for Junior Worship called “One Room Sunday School – Grow Your Faith by Leaps and Bounds.” We have a group of 5-6 regular teachers who are in a teaching rotation, and it seems to be working well so far. Our Chi Rho group, which currently is serving our 5th-9th graders, has met several times and is off to a fun start. I am also excited that Rev. Nancy is currently leading a Pastor’s Class for some of our older children and youth—and we will likely have more baptisms on Sunday, June 14!
Administration Highlights: The personnel team has been hard at work conducting annual reviews for our music director, pianist/organist, and secretary. In addition, the Finance Team and Rev. Nancy worked together this spring on the Giving campaign. The team has developed a proposed budget that will be presented to the congregation at our meeting on May 31. Your faithful, ongoing support of our congregation is VERY appreciated.
You’ve probably noticed, but a lot of work is happening in and around our building. We have had a few work days this spring (THANK YOU to all who pitched in!) and the Property Team has moved forward on several items. In addition to maintenance tasks that have been completed, the parking lot is being sealed on May 27 and some of the rooms inside the church have been painted. More is coming!
Transition Team: The Transition Team hosted “An Evening of Pizza and Pondering” on May 15 and invited the congregation to eat with us, learn more about what our team has been doing, and have a chance to provide some input. As a reminder, this team is working with Rev. Nancy on the five developmental tasks of the intentional interim ministry process. Our team covets your prayers throughout this important process.
There are many good things happening here (more than I can possibly include here) and I am feeling inspired! I truly can feel the spirit moving at AHCC and it is a glorious thing. Can YOU feel it?
Joy and Hope, Katy Lee, Moderator
