TRAVEL NOTES FOR A SEAMLESS JOURNEYLANDSCAPEHội An is located in central coast of Vietnam, renowned for its tranquility and beautiful scenery. Besides the city traditional neighborhood and its beautiful yellow walls, Hoi An also has great beaches and green rice fields separated by small roads perfect for bicycle rides.

PEOPLEVietnamese people are very friendly and keen to help at any time. Should you have the privilege to be invited into a private home, rice will be served with most meals and the host will give a sign to start eating. Dishes should be passed with both hands, and chopsticks and a flat spoon are widely used as dining utensils. When eating noodle soup, hold the bowl close to your face with the spoon in your left hand and the chopsticks in your right. When you have finished eating, rest your chopsticks on top of your bowl as it is considered bad luck to leave these standing in the food.
