Jos Ramn Bas naci en Madrid en1964. Como fotgrafo autodidacta seinici en 1979 de la mano del tambinfotgrafo Florencio Garca Mndez.Despus de estudiar fotografa y videoen la Escuela de la Imagen y el Diseode Barcelona (IDEP), su inters se cen-tr en las nueva formas de expresin

y en la memoria del viaje.

Fue premiado con la beca Fotopresspara nuevos creadores de la Funda-cin La Caixa, que le ayud a iniciaruna serie de trabajos centrados en lafotografa de viaje.
