Tomato ringspot virus has been eradicated from Australia (Biosecurity Australia, personal communication, 2011) and is under eradication inGermany (EPPO (2012) PQR database version 5.0). Reports from Taiwan and Ireland in the previous edition are unreliable. Records of thisvirus in Argentina are erroneous.

The vectors of ToRSV are nematodes of the Xiphinema americanum group.
