Students will receive DE Invitations at the Testing Center sharing with them their next steps:
1. Meet with an advisor2. Register for corequisite Courses3. Register for EDUC/PYSCH 1300 Learning Frameworks (students
testing into all three areas of DE are required)4. Attend Mandatory Academic Coaching Orientation5. Participate in First Year Experience (FYE) Program

From Non-STEM to STEM Pathways
DE students who take the Non STEM pathway MATH 0332/ MATH1332 or MATH 0342/MATH 1342 and change their major to STEM ARE NOT PREPARED FOR COLLEGE ALGEBRA have these students take the following steps:Step 1: Retest for a higher TSI scoreStep 2: Register for MATH 1314 or Co-requisite courses MATH 0314/ MATH1314

Planning for INRW Additional Academic Support Spring 2019
• Promising Practices meeting with Texarkana College to discuss ENG/INRW corequisite courses.
• My Foundation Lab INRW Refresher Support Course• District wide research will be done collaboratively with Dr. Lisa H
Forrester during her sabbatical to assist with implementing promising practices for INRW corequisite courses.
Starting Fall 2018
• Mandatory for all DE Students placing in Reading, Writing & Math
• EDUC/PSYCH 1300 Learning Frameworks
• Required Orientation• Three Required group advising
sessions.• Focusing on Program of Study,
Advising Action Plans, Transfer, Workforce Expo, Running Audits, Seeking Internships and visiting the career center.
2017-2018 Year of Review & Celebrations• Implemented corequisite courses Spring 2018 and Fall 2018, we are
now serving over 25% of the DE population!• Implemented HB5 Faculty liaison Program with 10 of our area ISD’s.• Implemented the QEP Academic Planning Coach Program for DE
students.• Provided 8 months of Advising 1st Friday Professional Development
Webinars.• Created and implemented promotional flyers to advertise corequiste
courses.• Created and implemented advising tools for Math Pathways.
2017-2018 Year of Review & Celebrations• Revised academic support in the AIM center district wide.• Hosted North Texas Regional Convening on co-requisite Work in
collaboration with TACC, Complete College America and the Charles A. Dana Center.
• Revised the Developmental Education Website and added a page for the AIM Center and links to co-requisite courses.
• Congratulations College Faculty! Collin College is the recipient of the 2018 THECB College Readiness and Success Model Grant.
