Conferences will take place on Thursday November 5 2020 from 1200 pm ndash 700 pm

Parentsguardians have the option having their conference in-person at school a Zoom meeting or phone conference Your childrsquos homeroom teacher

will contact you to schedule your conference Students in grades 4-8 are REQUIRED to be in attendance for their conference Families with delinquent tuition will NOT receive a conference

until the past due tuition is paid in full

Report cards will be available on OptionC

after 900 am on Thursday November 5 Again your childrsquos report card will NOT be released if your

tuition payments are delinquent

Practice Virtual Day - Monday November 16 2020

On November 16 all DMA students will participate in

virtual learning On this day all students will attend school from home to ensure that everyone is

familiar with how to login to their Google Classrooms and

attend school virtually This will ensure that our students and

teachers are familiar with virtual classroom procedures in the event of a snow day or school

closure due to COVID-19 Please plan accordingly

Starting on November 3 2020 temperature checks for car riders will take place in the

lobby inside the blue doors Please drop

off your child at the blue doors and

continue to leave the campus You do NOT have to wait for your

child since we will contact you if your child must go home

DMArsquos Student Council will be offering two Dress Down Days in the month of November Each will cost $2 and will be held on the following

dates

Monday November 9th to support our local Food Bank

Tuesday November 24th to support the DMA Technology Fund

In the month of October DMArsquos Student Council raised $28175 for

the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and $412 for the DMA

Technology Fund Thank you to all who participated

We have started something new this year to help our students celebrate their

birthdays in a special way For $25 your child may purchase a dress down day for hisher entire class Families will need to

discuss dates with the homeroom teacher Donrsquot worry if your childrsquos

birthday has already passed this year or if your childrsquos birthday is in the summer Just reach out to your childrsquos homeroom teacher to set up a date to celebratePlease remember that if you choose to

send in a treat for your childrsquos birthday they must be pre-packaged items only

Since our school liturgies are closed to the public we will be live streaming them to our Facebook

page every Friday afternoon at 140 on our school Facebook page for our virtual students as well as family and friends that would like to participate

The annual Sisters of St Joseph Non Perishable Food Drive will be held on

_____Students are encouraged to bring in

items for the Food Drive The classroom with the most collected

items (averaged per student) will win a movie and treat party

The students and teachers of Divine Mercy Academy will be having a special school liturgy on Monday November 23rd at 140 PM This

will be a closed Mass for the school only however you will be able to

watch via live stream on our DMA Facebook page

We will begin our Thanksgiving Break at noon on Tuesday November 24th with an early dismissal School will not be in session from Wednesday November 25th through Monday November 30th for Thanksgiving break School will resume on

Tuesday December 1st We pray that all members of our DMA Family will enjoy a fun filled and relaxing Thanksgiving surrounded by those they love

Each year the Golden Apple Award is presented to teachers and principals within the Diocese of Pittsburgh to recognize their

contributions to the Church in building a stronger better Catholic education society Teachers parents and students may

nominate a teacher or principal whom they feel has made a valuable contribution to Catholic education If you would like to

nominate a member of our faculty for this prestigious award please fill out the attached nomination form Forms are due into the school by_______ We would love to see one of our amazing

teachers honored at the awards ceremony in May

ticket Your child will get 10 lunches for $33 which is a savings of $2 over

buying them individually Remember snack tickets can also be purchased for

The registration portal is open for basketball at the present time There are teams available for kids in grades 3rd through 8th for boys and girls If your child is

interested please register ASAP If you want more information about the teams practices etc please email the athletic association at dmasabersgmailcom If you would like for your child to try a practice or two to determine if it is a sport they

would like to try this can be arranged Just reach out

The Athletic Association would like to open the registration portal for cheerleading

We are in search of a cheer coach(es) If you are interested in being the cheer coach please email the association at dmasabersgmailcom

We are proud to announce that our profit from this fundraiser was $34990 which will go to supporting the

needs of our Divine Mercy AcademyTaco Kit pick-up will be in the Divine Mercy Academy

Lourdes Center Parking Lot (lower level) at 330 pm on Wednesday November 4th

We will be holding our Lottery Calendar Fundraiser again this year

For a donation of $1000 ticket holders have a chance to win between $100 - $500 during the month of January 2021 Each ticket has four numbers and the winner is

based on the 700 pm PA Pick 4 Lottery Number There is no need to keep track of the daily numbers the

winners will automatically be notified and receive their winnings These Lottery tickets would be a great

Christmas gift for family and friends or as stocking stuffers so please support DMA fundraising

All DMA families are required to sell ten (10) ticketsAll tickets must be sold and money returned by Tuesday

A huge thank you to Texas Roadhouse for supporting our school in October with our restaurant fundraiser We earned $168 from the event

We will be selling Texas Roadhouse gift cards from November 9th through December 7th Divine Mercy Academy will receive 10

back from all cards sold These gift cards would make excellent Christmas gifts You will also be able to use them in our next restaurant fundraiser held at Texas Roadhouse in early 2021 so we will get double the money from these cards
