Second Sunday of Easter / Divine Mercy Sunday April 19, 2020

    Tithing is “Stewardship In Action”

Divine Mercy Sunday Pope John Paul II officially designated the first Sunday after Easter as Divine Mer-cy Sunday. Jesus revealed to Sister Faustina that on that day a person’s sins would be for-given and the temporal punishment associated with them if certain conditions are fulfilled: 1) Place complete trust in God’s Mercy 2) Go to Confession-preferably before

that Sunday 3) Receive Communion on Divine Mercy Sunday 4) Respect the image of the Most Merci-ful Savior

(A picture will be displayed on the side altar on the day)

    5) Be merciful to others by your actions, words and prayers

DIVINE MERCY NOVENA: The Divine Mercy Novena allows one to more fully experience the mercy that Jesus extends to all. The novena begins on Good Friday and can be said privately. There is one short prayer for each of the nine days and the Divine Mercy chaplet should be said at the same time. Pamphlets with the novena and the chaplet will be at each entrance of the Church.

PRAYER CHAIN: Anyone in need of spiritual support may place their requests on the prayer chain by calling Barbara at 215-345-6219.

From the Desk of Our Pastor Being pro life means supporting life in all its stages and aspects. In particular, Christians today are called to protect the right to life for the unborn and the elderly. Some would have us believe that the stance one takes on these critical issues in merely a question of one's personal philosophy. The founders of our nation, however, sought to guarantee "the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness" for everyone.

    Msgr. Charles H. Hagan

PETITION BOOK: The petition book is available in the rear vestibule for those who wish to enter their concerns in that way. Requests placed in the petition book are also honored in a general way by the members of the prayer chain. The petition book will be brought up to the altar the first Sunday of every month.
