Rotaract District 3271, DRR's Monthly Letter, August-September 2
Dear Rotaractors,
Hope you are keeping very busy with projects for your Rotaract!
August was the month for Membership and Extension while
September was the New Generations month. I would like to
emphasize the importance of Rotaract Clubs which have a good
number of members in order to be successful. Increasing the
quantity of members mean nothing until and unless the quality of
the Rotaract club is being maintained with the intake of the new
members, who should be able to work harmoniously with the
existing members? Every club should ideally have at least 20 to 25
members. You might be wondering where to find new members
for your club and what to do once the members have been
inducted. Start looking around your educational institution, your
workplace, your family and your circle of friends. There will
definitely be people who would fit into the age criteria of
Rotaract and who you can invite to be a part of this organization.
Every member should invite at least three people during the year
into his or her club. A prospective member should visit a club at
least two to three times so that all members of the club have a
chance to interact before the BOD and the members decide on
whether or not they want a certain person in their club. Once a
new member is inducted, he or she should be continuously
involved in projects and given responsibility in the projects to
keep them interested in the club.
* Membership development goals to be achieved by June 30,
2015:
* Clubs with less than 20 members should increase their strength
to 20
* Clubs with 20 or more members should increase their strength
by 15%
* All of you should set out today and start brainstorming on who
to invite to your next meeting as a prospective member!
Consciously or unconsciously,
every one of us renders some service or another. If we
cultivate the habit of doing this service deliberately, our
desire for service will steadily grow stronger and it will make
not only for our own happiness but that of the world at large.
Pakistan is facing one of the worst calamities in its history,
due to the heavy rains that its northern regions witnessed, in
the early weeks of September. This resulted in exceptionally
high flood discharges on various control points of River Chenab
and River Jhelum. It has been estimated, that around 1.7
million Pakistanis have been affected, so far.
As representative of one of the biggest service organization in
the world, the Rotaract District 3271 are actively provide
every possible assistance and coordinating relief operations
with concerned authorities in affected areas. At the time
when city is reeling under the effects of flood, Rotaract
District started the campaign at personal level and with
everyone‟s support have been able to collect sizeable amount
within few days. District members not only restrict themselves
with monetary help only but they are moving beyond the call
of duty and collect and distributed the food items by
themselves. They are volunteering day and night to support
people. Every member of Rotaract is contributing to this noble
cause and will contribute In shaa Allah till the end of these
challenging times.

"Article VI: District Dues and Accounts
......3. All clubs shall pay their district dues @ Rs. 4,000/-

members shall add Rs. 200/- for each members above
20......
Article VII: Suspended Clubs
1. A club will be deemed suspended if it has not paid the
District dues by 30th September and will be under
suspension until it pays the same and any other
outstanding dues. Such a club would be allowed to
participate in the District Conference only after having
cleared all dues.
2. A suspended club shall not allow their members to
