DNHG Overnight Musandam Dhow Trip October 17-18, 2014
We will open our DNHG trip season with the popular overnight dhow trip to Musandam peninsula. The date penciled in for the trip is the weekend of October 17 – 18, 2014. The trip will start from Dibba port on Friday morning and return on Saturday evening. A two-day trip will allow us to explore distant Musandam fjords and villages (Khawr Al Hablayn, Mansan, etc.) that are not visited by the commercial one-day dhow trips. There will be a lot of opportunity to snorkel, fish or swim. On Friday evening we will be treated to a barbecue on the beach of one of the isolated small bays deep in Khawr Al Hablayn. We will sleep on the open deck, under the stars - a unique experience. On Saturday we will visit a couple of remote villages deep in the Musandam fjord and have some more time for swimming and snorkeling. Catering (breakfast, 2 x lunch and dinner) & soft drinks are included in the cost. The dhow will be a traditional two-deck dhow. Please see the photos in the attached document. This trip is limited to a minimum of 20 and a maximum of 30 people. The cost per person will depend on the number of people- from 20 to 25 people 550 AED per person and from 25 to 30 people 500 AED per person. Prepayment of 500 AED will have to be collected by September 20 to secure the dhow through prepayment. If by September 20 we will have less than 20 prepayments, we will have to cancel the trip. Due to the new Dibba border regulations you will need to have a valid passport to cross the border. However, a visa will NOT be stamped in your passport and you will NOT have to pay any visa fees.
