Earth’s Axis

• The earth is tilted on its axis 23.5o. This means that some parts of the earth will receive more sunlight that other parts.

• The earth also revolves around the sun. So the amount of sunlight that the northern and southern hemispheres receive will change throughout the year.

The Earth’s tilt on its axis and its orbit around the Sun cause the Seasons.
