CONGRATS, YOU HAVE FOUND THE RIGHT PLACE TO TEACH YOU SOME SIMPLE STEPS TO CLEAN

THAT ROOM OF YOURS.

How To:Clean Your Room

Go from this... … to this!

Materials Needed:

1) Window cleaner2) Newspaper3) Vacuum4) Trashbag5) Box or bag

Step 1

Section off areas of your room that you will be cleaning and create a list of those sections.

(!) By doing this, cleaning your room will be easier to manage and make big tasks look like smaller simple tasks.

Step 2

Starting with your floor:

1. Pick up and trash you have and throw it away

2. Take any clothes you have laying around and either fold it and put it away or put it in a hamper if it’s dirty

3. Any miscellaneous items, put away in a designated spot

4. Now that you have cleared everything off your floor, proceed to vacuum or sweep depending on the type of flooring you have.

(!) It’s a good idea to start with your floor so that way, as you continue cleaning your room, you don’t risk stepping/tripping on anything

Step 3

Now you can move on to cleaning your bed.

1. Remove any items that do not belong on your bed and put them in an appropriate spot. (i.e. books, clothes)

2. Proceed to remove sheets, blankets, pillows or anything similar and put into a hamper for washing

(!) It’s a good idea to wash sheets every month to prevent risk of dust mites

Step 4

Making your bed:1. First, taking your sheets, place

them neatly onto your bed, smoothing out any wrinkles and creases

2. Now your can neatly place blankets or comforters onto your bed

3. Finally place any pillows or stuffed animals onto the bed, arranging them to your liking.

Step 5

Now we can move on to any cluttered desks you may have

1. Clear off the desk and place all the items onto your floor

2. Organize the items into separate piles depending on whether they belong on your desk or if they belong somewhere else

3. Place any trash into a trash bin4. You can now place the items

wherever they belong based on how you organized them

Step 6

Cleaning out your closet:

1. Remove all the clothes from your closet

2. Separate out clothes into what you wear often and clothes you don’t wear

1. This can be determined by clothes you have worn in over half a year or so

3. Take any clothes that you are keeping and hang them up on a hanger or fold depending on where you would normally put them away.

4. Any clothes that you don’t want can be donated or thrown away

Step 7

Take any cords you don’t need and wrap them up. Then find a spot or bag to put cords that are not being used away.

(!) Try to put away cords whenever you are not using them

Step 8

Now to wipe down those windows. Spray your windows with any sort of window cleaner and then wipe down with some newspaper.

(!) Using newspaper can prevent your windows from streaking.

Guess What? You're done!

Feel free to enjoy that new clean room of yours. Now that you’ve finished cleaning, feel free to reward yourself, maybe watch some t.v. or perhaps just take a nap. You’ve earned it. Just remember, do your best to keep your room clean so that you won’t to clean the entire room every time. Keep it clean, otherwise it looks like we’ll meet again.
