What do you think are the reasons for writing poems?

People write poemsto tell a story, to express feelings of love, anger, joy etc.to call on people to do something,to practise writingto make others laugh……

杜甫 His poems mostly present us a real life at that time and show people’s miserable life because of war.李白 His poems are always very romantic.

岳飞 It expresses the writer’s love for the country as well as the worry about defeating the enemies.

王昌龄 It shows the determination to defend the motherland.

In a word, poems are mostly written to show people’s emotions. In Chinese , we have 诗言志，诗言情，诗歌合为事而作 . Poetry is a great form of literature.
