    ItwillalsohelpcounteringthelackofITtechnologiesinwelding education.WiderdisseminationofITtoolscansubstantiallycontributeto

    verytechnicalcoursesliketheWeldingEngineeringPostGraduation Course.

    Conclusion

    Since1992thatEWFhasbeenupgradingskilland competenciesinweldingrelatedcourses,contributingtothe

    qualificationofover150.000trainees.However,thishas focusedprimarilyintraditionalinroomclasses,wherethe

    studenthastoactuallybephysicallyintheclassroom. Ontheotherhand

    distancelearningcoursesand

    methodologiesasenvisagedbytheDISTOOLWELDProjectare stillunderdevelopedandrequireurgentimprovement.

    Therefore,thisprojectwillreinforcetheEuropeanstrategyof theEWFnetworkforvocationaltraininginthefocused

    Thiswillbedonewiththetransferofaproductwithproven qualityandwellacceptedinGermanyto4European

    Countries(PT,PL,IT,RO)wheredistancelearningcourses havetobedevelopedandimprovedinorderforittoreach

    morepersons,makingthesetrainingmethodologiesmore appealinganduserfriendlyfortheprospectivetrainee.
