I have the pleasure to inform you that our TC ERM TG 11 (EMC and Radio Spectrum Matters) has manifested interest to liaise with IEEE 802.11 (Wireless Local Area Networks (WLAN)). I have updated the mapping accordingly. Please be so kind to inform the IEEE 802.11 officials.

Essential terms:

1) $75 of the registration fee (per attendee per plenary session) is allocated to the get program

2) 802 standards are made available at no charge 6 months after the date of publication

Secondary terms:

3) the agreement is between 802 LMSC and IEEE SA, renewable on annual basis, current term 01JAN2014 to 31DEC2014

4) 802 LMSC and SA agree to review the agreement annually at the

• Drafts are sent to ISO during sponsor ballot to solicit comments. Approved drafts may also be sent during working group ballot.

• Any comments received from ISO are processed by the comment resolution committee

• If P802.11REVmc D3 LB202 met 75% WG approval and was liaised to ISO on June 24th, as agreed at the last meeting.

F4.1 - Early 802.11 Documentation Project• There is a continuing interest in being able to access

early 802.11 submissions.

• The submissions on the server are not necessarily accessible:– Some submissions were never uploaded

– Some submissions are in word processor formats that are no longer generally available.

• Vic Hayes, former chair, has a large paper archive of early submissions. He has obtained funding and has scanned this archive. WG chair has these.

F4.1 - Early Documentation - continued• There are 1200 scan files. There are some tasks

required to make this useful:– Split scan pdf files into a file per submission

– Perform OCR on .pdf files

– Merge .pdf files into 802.11 website document archive

• IEEE-SA have offered to fund this, an intern has been identified, and we are going through the formalities (i.e., a temporary employment) of setting up the project.

• Expect the project to be completed by Sept, dependent on getting the formalities sorted quickly.
