Abstract

This contribution will go over the following:

1Overview of cleanup of MIB Description in Clause 13.1 of base standard

2Layout a tentative schedule/timeline to guide TGa work itemsa. Possibly assign roles & responsibilities (assuming TGa officers haven’t

been selected)

3Discuss options for how TGa can interface with WRAN Alliance

1. Cleanup of MIB Description in 13.1

• Current Modifications are contained in DCN 22-11/107r0– 22-11/107r0 will be used during the course of TGa development

• Original High-level layout and organization of MIB Description provided in DCN 22-09/201r1

– We will continue to stick with this layout

• Cleanup actions include– Removed some redundancy in wranIfBsMib MIB group for various tables in

wranIfBsCm (Configuration Management), example will be provided in later slides (4 and 5)

– Removed redundancy if service-flow definition and classifier rule specification in wranIfBsSfMgmt

– Moved SCM configuration under wranIfBsCm

– Cleaned up several errors to keep MIB aligned with base-standard, including update of all section/table/figure references

2. Tentative Schedule for TGa Work Products

• September 2011 Interim– Finalize PAR, get task group approved, choose task group officers, Cleanup MIB

Description

• January 2012 Interim– ASN.1 Formatting of MIBs

• May 2012 – 30 days– Management primitives (not including those in 10.7 of base standard)

• This schedule doesn’t include anytime for slippage. If May next year is too aggressive a target recommendations (e.g. July/September 2012) are welcome.

• This schedule doesn’t consider time to update database interface primitives and ongoing work in IETF PAWS WG.

3. Options for how TGa can interface w/ WRAN Alliance

• The following is a tentative list. List (and prioritization of action items) will be have to be confirmed by .22 WG and WRAN Alliance officers– Parameter table specification from Clause 12

– Database Interface specifics

– Service-flow and classifier-rule specification and configuration

– Authentication and security practices and configuration

– Coexistence practices and configuration
