ADMISSION CRITERIA

VISION To become a centre of excellence in training globally competent oral health care professionals. MISSION To produce dental graduates who emulate the highest standard of pa0ent centered care and acquire advanced knowledge and skills to meet the changing needs of the community.

STRUCTURE OF PROGRAMME

Under the twinning programme offered at PIDC, the first two years of Pre-clinical studies (Basic Sciences) is carried out at MAHSA University, Saujana Putra Campus and thereaLer students pursue the final three years of clinical studies in the Bu=erworth campus. Training in Medicine and Surgery for dental students is conducted in collabora0on with the Ministry of Health at Hospital Penang whereas all dental subjects are taught at the PIDC campus in Bu=erworth.

INTAKE MONTH :

OCTOBER

Foundation in Science / Matriculation Examination by Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia.

CGPA 3.0 (out of 4) in 3 subjects i.e. Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics and Provided the course is not less than 1 year and 5 B’s each in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics (or Additional Mathe-matics) and another subject at School Certificate level or its equiva-lent.

Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM) Grades BBB, ABC or AAC in 3 subjects i.e.Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics.

General Certificate of Education Advanced A- Level Grades BBB, ABC or AAC in 3 subjects i.e Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics

Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) B4 each in 5 subjects i.e. Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Additional Mathematics

Monash University Foundation Pre-University Program (MUFY) Or University of New South Wales (UNSW) Foun-dation Or South Australian Matriculation (SAM) Or Any other Australian Pre-U examinations

Aggregate or average of 80% in any 3 subjects i.e. Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics Or 80% ATAR

Canadian Pre-University (CPU) Or Canadian Internation-al Matriculation program (CIMP) / Canadian Grade 12/13

Average of 80% in any 3 subjects i.e Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Math-ematics

Indian Pre-University Average of 70% in any 3 subject i.e Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Math-ematics

International Baccalaureate (IB) 30 points with a minimum of 2 science subjects or Mathematics at Higher Level (HL) and 1 science subject at Standard Level and attained a mini-mum score of 4 each in Biology, Chemistry, Physics (or Mathematics)
