The doctrine of signatures is considered by most scholars to have its root and focus within the nature of plants, man and disease. This is only part of it, everything, every event etc. has a signature - a statement. These statements are a communication between the divine and its many divisions (in short - us). Below is a linking of various signatures, hopefully you get the idea and theme. There has been and is disagreement over differing correspondences to the cards etc, I find this somewhat immature and narrow minded. To assume that insight comes only from 1 ray of light is to be locked in a darkened room with one hole where the light comes in, outside this little room there is not one ray of light to be found for the sun is shining and everything is lit.

The 12 signs of the Zodiac are divided into 4 groups of 3, the 3 divisions of the signs are Cardinal (Sulphur), Mutable (Mercury) and Fixed (Salt). The 4 fixed signs are the man - Aquarius, the bull - Taurus, the lion - Leo and the eagle - Scorpio. Here we have the Sphinx - the Salt of the Earth.

In the system that interests me the card of Death is also the Hebrew letter Nun 50 and 700. Nun is Scorpio one of the 4 principles of our Salt. Nun is known as the fish, the fish being a sacrificial creature of the element water.

In initiation you know the illusion of death, in death all you think is real is washed away. If we live as if we are dead we become spiritually alive. That is, imagine you have 1 hour left to live, what is important now and live that way. Most people are spiritually dead when they are alive and spiritually alive when they are dead -- this is Christ amidst the two thieves; one thief turned -- life and death is the greatest duality we as individuals will ever face all else be it male and female etc. is a mirror of this. One thief turned, when we are alive we are spiritually dead, when we are dead we are

spiritually alive -- two thieves of duality -- if we live as if we are dead then the two thieves are united and are both alive on earth and spiritually alive (as above so below).

The Salt is baptized by fire and water.

A fish is a creature who lives within these waters, the key note is lives. The stories of the fish and Christ who overcame death are about initiation. This type of initiation requires one to die consciously and return consciously (fire = conscious = soul, the waters of life and death). Binah (Saturn) is the Great Sea and Saturn rules death, karma and grace - understand this wisdom and be wise. In Binah is the throne of God where the Merkabah rider (the Chariot) ascends.

In the great pyramid is a burial chamber where this type of initiation took place, true shamans have a death experience before the elder will initiate.

There are 3 Mothers; Sulphur, Mercury and Salt.The flame - its light is from that which is scarified to it.

Sulphur = flame, Mercury = light and Salt = the sacrificed.

The sacrificial lamb is the fat - the base of thy holy candle, its oil/fat. In ancient rituals to Tetragrammaton YHVH, if God was pleased his Bride Shekinah would devour the sacrificial offering by fire from the altar of Malkuth.

Holy oil is used to sanctify, it is the fuel for the flame.

To bless thy feet anointed (Malkuth is the feet).Seek ye first the Kingdom.

The God name of Malkuth is Adonai meaning the Lord, it has the value of 65 = 11 = 2 "Knowledge (Daath 11) of the Wisdom (Chokmah 2)"

He bathed their feet with oil?

Oil is used in the judgement of Christ.

Oil is Alchemic Sulphur.

The flame rises from the sacrificial oil/fat of the lamb.

The soul is our sulphur, God's Bride ignites this oil, awakens us, the flame rises - the burning fire of being, that which we give to every part of life, consciously or unconsciously. We live it.

What we perceive is seen in its light (this light, this mercury is the mind).Thy holy flame.

Within the hands that hold my prayer is this light.

This oil or sulphur is also the oil contained in the cells of the leaf.

Like coffins of green it awaits resurrection as a flame that rises toward the heavens.

Judgement is Shin 300 - the Spirit of God, the spiritual fire.
