Considerations

Things that need to be thought about as the pilots are being established:

• Stakeholders: Identification of representation by major stakeholders, interested parties, and informed observers.

• Governance: Leadership, coordination, decision-making criteria, conflict resolution process, succession planning for future leadership.

• Scope of Planning: Definition of geographic region, climate change impacts to be considered, and relation to existing plans.

• Resources: Staffing, in-kind services, funding for planning framework development, participation in meetings, report generation.

• Metrics: Monitoring progress and defining success.
