This upgrade kit is designed to prevent seal and bearing failure and greatly reduce overall maintenance of the DoFlow Unit. This upgrade will greatly improve the service life of bearings, seals and all effected components of the DoFlow. This kit references 2004-2006 machines with Auger Assemblies #43050031 and Developer Assemblies #43050024 for recommended upgrading.

DoFlow Packing Housing Seal UpgradeEffected Equipment - KRDIIe, AccuMax and other dividers fitted with DoFlow units or stand alone Do-Flow units with the following assembly package.

Situation Summary- Units with previous design seal assemblies can have leakage issues, particularly if not adjusted correctly. This will result in premature failure of the seal and pos-sible damage to surrounding components if not addressed in a timely fashion. A "Double-Seal" Packing Housing Assembly was introduced in 2008 to improve this issue for various existing

and new Doflow units. The following upgrade kit package was developed to retrofit those machines which were previously equipped with either packing assembly #32524-263 or #32524-229.

Special Note: There are some Do Flows and Dividers that use a different seal assembly. These units were generally made from 2004 to 2006 and use a “Stub Shaft” style of drive. (Refer to assembly 43050-024 for example at the end of this bulletin.) The new seal assembly can not be used unless the Developer Paddle & Coupling are also changed out. Contact AMF Parts with the serial # of your machine if you are uncertain of the upgrade path for the seal assembly.

Recommended Action- It is recommended that you use this information to identify your specific Packing Housing assemblies to order the correct upgrade package. Please contact AMF customer service with the serial # of your machine for assis-tance if you are uncertain of the upgrade path you should take for your current seal assembly.
