The timber beam formwork that gives you complete freedom VARIOMAX
VARIOMAX is a modern timber beam system
enabling you to pour any kind of slab—any
length, width or thickness—with ease.
VARIOMAX doesn't restrict your applications
in any way, but offers you all the versatility
that you need for immaculate results on the
building site.
Unbeatable in every detail
All VARIOMAX components are
distinguished by a multitude of
ingenious features. The timber
beams, props and formwork
panels are so well adapted to
one another that they combine
to yield a compact unit. This
makes VARIOMAX one of the
most versatile timber beam
formwork systems of all.
Setting the standard
for timber beam formwork
As far as strength, easy assem-
bly and cost-effectiveness are
concerned, VARIOMAX is the
No. 1 choice. VARIOMAX demon-
strates what is possible today.
Where other slab formwork
systems fail, VARIOMAX comes
into its own.
Our system is even suitable
for room widths of less than
2.65 m, slab thicknesses of
over 0.3 m and room heights
of over 4.5 m.
Distance between props—
anything up to 2.94 m
Slab formwork systems specify-
ing an inflexible distance of one
metre between props require
up to 65% more props than
VARIOMAX.
Distance between primary
beams—anything up to 4 m
An inflexible distance of two
metres between primary beams
means up to 50% more primary
beams than VARIOMAX.
Three-ply formwork panels
look good and make good
economic sense
The handy and dimensionally
stable three-ply panels consist of
three firmly bonded wood veneers
and are equally strong lengthwise
and crosswise. The melamine
coating on both sides repels
moisture and ensures top-quality
fair-face concrete.
Three-ply is exceptionally good
value for money. Its long service
life, high number of re-uses and
simple application ensure rapid
amortization.
Distance between secondary
beams—anything up to 0.75 m
With a fixed distance of 50 cm
between secondary beams, up
to 33% more beams are required
than with VARIOMAX.

In heavy-duty applications, R 24 goes into action
Save effort, time and money with
the right accessories
1. The advantages of the assembly
fork become obvious in practice.
It makes positioning, relocating and
removing beams child's play.
2. Adding extra props after the event?
No problem with the practical steel prop
hanger.
3. Versatile: The universal joint can be
used as a supporting bracket for a
stop-end or as a holder for a railing post
4. The 2-Way Drophead S enables the
primary beam to be lowered by 6 cm—
only with one stroke of the hammer
VARIOMAX
The lattice girder R 24 specializes in extra-heavy
loads. The R 24 range geared to construction site
needs has 11 lengths ranging from 0.9 to 6 m.
It can be freely combined with VARIOMAX and
extends the latter's performance range.
If required, you can boost load-bearing capacity
still further by using our ALU-TOP prop system,
which is precisely attuned to the maximum loading
of lattice girder R 24.
Extra strength,
lower labor costs
The incredible load-bearing
capacity of the rugged R 24
girder makes large distances
between beams possible. This
way you cut down on props,
beams, materials and time-con-
suming stripping and re-erection
—and this reduces the cost of
labor.
Heavy-duty design—
easy handling
Thanks to its lattice design,
R 24 girders can be moved
easily by hand from one place
to another. All the girders have
solid end sections that act as a
natural deterrent to sawing. This
minimizes expense on replace-
ment materials and maximizes
your return on investment.
Adding extra props after the event? No problem with the practical steelprop hanger.
● Broad choice of distances
between props and primary and

The simple solution for exacting tasks Joist formwork
The idea is simple and makes good sense.
In time, every building site generates
huge quantities of timber beam waste.
What was once good timber becomes
costly hazardous waste. However, these
materials can now be used for shutter-
ing joists.
Work rate up,
wage costs down
All you need is the beam con-
nector and the joist beam from
Hünnebeck. With these you can
use all conventional timber
beams horizontally or vertically
in joist formwork. Lengths can
be adjusted steplessly, while
heights can be adjusted in 1 cm
increments up to 60 cm and
more. No need for time-consum-
ing sawing, nailing and aligning.
Low investment costs,
high returns
An extremely attractive purchase
price for equipment that saves
you a lot of work, materials and
expense. The investment pays
for itself after only four uses.
And after that you make money
all the way.
The joist clamping connector
can be clamped on any 20 or
24 cm timber beam with a
chord width of 8 cm and a max.
chord thickness of 6 cm. The
side beam is slid in vertically.
Variant:Side formwork with vertically inserted timberbeam

The adjustable beam 500
is fastened in cm increments to
match the joist height with the
permanently attached bolt in the
beam connector and secured
with a spring pin. An angle
piece serves as the support for
the horizontal side beam.

cross beam (2), press it againstthe side shutters (4 + 5) and tighten with a hammer
7. Pin the adjustable beam 500 (7) to match the joist height
8. Lay the upper timber formworkbeam on the angle support ofthe adjustable beams 500
9. Set up the side shutters on the opposite side after setting thebars
Make even more savings
There is no need to fit ties. This
yields major cost advantages,
even when reworking. And if
you use the tubular steel prop
with the quick-release mecha-
nism, you go easy on materials
and your purse.
Your slab formwork plus the
timber beam joist formwork
from Hünnebeck—always a
perfect combination
With Hünnebeck joist formwork,
you always work completely
independently of the slab form-
work system that you use. Any
slab formwork can be laid on the
side beams. For instance, H 20
timber beams as for VARIOMAX
slab formwork or TOPEC panels
or partially precast slabs.

The tubular steel prop with the unique quick-release mechanism
The idea pays off
Quick release cuts costs. At
twice the speed, twice as much
can be achieved in the same
period of time. What's more, this
"gentle" form of lowering dimin-
ishes prop wear, prevents the
need for repair, reduces the
demand for replacement parts,
and eases the physical strain
on your staff on site.
In a class of its own
According to the European
standard, conventional Class D
props must be able to support
loads of 20 kN irrespective of
their extension length.
EUROPLUS achieves this – and
more. It is so strong that it com-
plies with Euro Class B and is
a match for loads up to 30 kN.
Twice as strong
The load-bearing capacity of
EUROPLUS props is far greater
in a system, e.g. used together
with our TOPEC slab formwork,
than that of props used individu-
ally. Where other props reach
their limits, EUROPLUS comes
into its own and proves to
be almost double the value
(depending on type).
One good turn deserves
another
The free-turning double thread
automatically cleans itself as
it turns and cannot therefore jam
under pressure. The outer thread
facilitates precise monitoring of
the jack adjustment process and
simplifies cleaning and mainte-
nance.
All-round protection
EUROPLUS props are reliably
protected from corrosion, out-
side and inside. A thick hot-dip
galvanized coating makes the
difference – even in those
places where you don't see it,
e.g. on threaded sleeves, inter-
nal welds etc.
EUROPLUS
EUROPLUS is a tubular steel prop that
sets the standards of today and tomorrow.
Its top quality, high loading, astonishing
versatility and easy handling have made
EUROPLUS one of the most frequently
used props of its kind.
Simply ingenious:
The quick-release mechanism
A hammer blow is all it takes to
lower the EUROPLUS prop by
about 3 mm and thus quickly
and effortlessly overcome the
first critical stage of stripping—
even under heavy loads. Sub-
sequent jack release is child's
play. The laborious time- and
cost-intensive conventional
striking of the props is a thing
of the past with EUROPLUS.
A comparison says it all
A time and motion study by the
Institut für Zeitwirtschaft und
Betriebsberatung (IZB) has con-
firmed everyday experience
on countless building sites:
"The quick-release mechanism
makes props from Hünnebeck
twice as quick as props with
conventional threaded release
systems."

Safety first
And when it comes to user
safety, EUROPLUS also leaves
nothing to be desired. Its special
safety precautions to diminish
the risk of injury include the
10 cm high anti-crush guard, the
escape guard, the specially
shaped opening of the base
plate, and the handle of the nut
which can be laid flat for trans-
port and storage.
