I am, however, also an intellectual person. I am a thinker: Simple and complex dilemmas are perfect basis for philosophically thinking and discussion, I think. Philosophical discussions are in my opinion an important part of life.

Travelling around Europe is for me a perfect way of getting a grip on the questions of life: Who are we? Where do we come from? Etc.

Describe some of your best experiences Oh, there are many :-)

Second to none is of course the moments when I was blessed with my two lovely children :-)I have some moments where I - during a so normal Tuesday - stop and explicitly think: “This is happiness - this is the good life”. That actually gives an indescribable feeling.

Graduating from the university was a big and proud moment for me. The feeling of the-world-is-at-my-feet was unique.

I once helped a boy aged round 10 who had climbed on the wrong side of the railing on a highway bridge - unable to return. I remember the sense of doing something very big - perhaps saving a life - without planning it or nobody to see it. That was fantastic.

What did you dream of becoming as a child?To be honest my dream was to become some Wall Street type. That, however, changed to work abroad in the diplomacy.

Describe your relationship with your family?It is very strong. We visit each other as often as possible - and 2 or 3 days in a row during Christ-mas and Easter

What does your family mean to you?The family is close to everything. The family are the persons, whose loyalty I would never ques-tion.

What does friendship mean to you?I prefer few, but good, strong and lifetime friendships. That is, there can be months - even years - between our contact – and that is still no problem.

What kind of friend are you?I am loyal. I am into both very serious discussions and pranks. I am honest. I am forgiving - until a limit of course.

How would your friends and family describe you?Caring, loving and honest. Also a bit of a thinker.Funny - with a preference for irony, small doses of sarcasm and great British humour.

Which famous person or celebrity can you identify yourself with?That is rather difficult. Perhaps because I do not know many “celebrities”. I have always been fascinated by people who seem rather complex, eg. in being both funny or sporty and a thinker. Internationally known it would be people like John Cleese or Tony Blair. They both have a public attitude (funny and political) and a more philo-sophically part as well.

How do you prefer to travel and why?I prefer both capitals and the small villages in the mountains. It is important to me that I do all the planning by myself. This allows me to travel ‘slow’ and flexible. I can spend hours on just watching life going on. It is amazing.

My favourite capitals are Berlin, London, Kijev and Rome. I also enjoy Sicily, Southern France, Bayern and the northern part of Denmark.
