What does synergy actually mean for worm control? The combined effect of pyrantel and febantel on hookworms and roundworms is greater than the sum of their individual effects on these worms. This powerful, double-barrelled approach minimises the chance of less susceptible worms surviving treatment compared to single active or non-synergistic wormers.

Not all wormers kill every

This worm attaches to the wall of the human intestine, feeds on blood and produces eggs. It causes abdominal pain, diarrhoea

and anaemia. Most wormers don’t control this parasite.

Reducing the exposure of dogs to tapeworms is important to reduce the zoonotic risk to human health. Dogs should:
