LOS PUERTOS EN ANDALUSIAN SOULEl Puerto de Málaga es el 2º puerto de cru-
ceros turísticos de España, con un volumen de cruceristas que supera los 440.000, y uno de los puertos base de cruceros de más importancia del Mediterráneo.
En el caso del Puerto de Sevilla, el incremen-to exponencial es más que favorable, habiendo crecido en torno al 18% desde 2015, con más de 21.000 cruceristas. Es el 2º puerto de Andalucía con mayor crecimiento experimentado, tras el Puerto de Málaga.

CONJUNTO MONUMENTAL MEZQUITA, CATE-DRAL
Declarada Patrimonio de la Humanidad, es el monumento más importante de todo el Occiden-te islámico. Su construcción fue iniciada por Abd al- Rahman I en 785 sobre la antigua basílica visi-goda de San Vicente.
En los dos siglos siguientes fue ampliada por iniciativa los gobernantes omeyas, de manera que se puede observar la evolución del arte ca-lifal, además de los estilos gótico, renacentista y barroco como Catedral cristiana desde la Recon-quista. La consagración del templo como catedral se realiza en 1236.
_MONUMENTAL ARCHITECTURE, MOSQUE-CATHE-DRAL
Declared a World Heritage Site, it is the most important Islamic monument of the entire Western world. Its construction was started by Abd al-Ra-hman I in 785 on the old Visigothic basilica of San Vicente.
In the following two centuries the Umayyad ru-lers expanded the undertaking such that one can observe the evolution of Caliphal art, as well as the Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque styles in the Christian Cathedral since the Reconquista. The consecration of the temple as a cathedral took place in 1236.

Madinat al-Zahra is the lavish palatial city that Caliph Abd al-Rahman III ordered to be built at the foot of the Sierra Morena to project a power-ful image of the newly created Independent Ca-liphate of Córdoba. In 1010, after seven decades of existence, the Madinat al-Zahra was destroyed and sacked by the Berbers, who reduced most of this fabulous city to ashes.

PATIOS DE CÓRDOBALa Fiesta de Los Patios se encuentra reconocida
como Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial de la Humanidad. Originario de la cultura romana constituye uno de los mayores atractivos de Córdoba. La climatología obligó a adaptar la tipología de casa popular a las necesidades, centrando la vivienda en torno a un patio. Los musulma-nes la readaptaron dando entrada a la vivienda desde la calle a través de un zaguán y colocando vegetación abundante para aumentar la sensación de frescor. Su mejor escaparate es el Concurso de Patios que desde 1933 celebra el Ayuntamiento en mayo. No obstante, du-rante todo el año hay posibilidad de realizar visitas guia-das a estos singulares “monumentos”.
_PATIOS OF CÓRDOBAThe Fiesta de Los Patios is recognised as an Intangi-
ble Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Originally from Roman culture, it is one of the main attractions of Córdoba. The climate forced the need to adapt the layout of the house style, centring the house around a patio. The Muslims re-purposed it by entering the house from the street throu-gh a hallway and placing abundant vegetation to increa-

se the feeling of freshness. Its best showcase is the Patios Contest held since 1933 by the City Council in May. Howe-ver, throughout the year there is the possibility of guided tours to these unique “monuments”.

It was part of an Arab castle that allowed access to the city. Later rebuilt, it offers different examples of the coe-xistence of Jewish, Christian and Muslim cultures in me-dieval Córdoba.

CATEDRAL DE GRANADA Y CAPILLA REALTras la conquista cristiana de Granada, la reina
Isabel la Católica ordena en 1505 la construcción de la Catedral de Granada que muestra impre-sionantes fachadas y un magnifico interior con un grandioso retablo, verdadera joya del Rena-cimiento español. Anexa a ella, la Capilla Real, de estilo gótico tardío, fue levantada también por or-den de los Reyes Católicos para convertirse en su lugar de enterramiento.
_CATHEDRAL OF GRANADA AND ROYAL CHAPELAfter the Christian conquest of Granada in
1505, Queen Isabel the Catholic ordered the construction of the Cathedral of Granada that exhibits impressive facades and a magnificent in-terior with a grandiose altarpiece, a true jewel of the Spanish Renaissance. Attached to it, the Ro-yal Chapel, of late Gothic style, was also built by order of the Catholic Monarchs to become their burial place.
ABADÍA DEL SACROMONTESituada en lo más alto del barrio gitano del
Sacromonte, la abadía domina todo El Valle de Valparaíso. Su portada, magnífico ejemplo del Renacimiento andaluz, da paso a su interior en el que destacan sus techumbres y artesonados mudéjares. Desde su explanada se observan la multitud de casas-cuevas del Sacromonte donde nacieron las “zambras”, la forma más granadina del flamenco.
_ABBEY OF THE SACROMONTELocated in the highest part of the gypsy neigh-
bourhood of Sacromonte, the abbey dominates the Valparaíso Valley. Its facade, a shining exam-ple of the Andalusian Renaissance, gives way to its interior in which its Mudéjar coffered ceilings stand out. From its forecourt you can see the mul-titude of cave-houses of Sacromonte where the
“zambras” were born, the most granadine form of flamenco.

House of Zafra, the Royal Room or the Palace of Dar Al-Horra are a window into the daily life of the ancient inhabitants of Andalusia. To complement these residences are the Arab baths of the Ba-ñuelo from the 11th century, the oldest monument in the city.

PLAZA DE ESPAÑAFue sede de la Exposición Iberoamericana
(1929), y por ello se construyeron dos hermosas plazas en estilo regionalista: la Plaza de España, realizada en ladrillo y bellos paneles cerámicos, y la Plaza de América, donde además se encuentra el Museo Arqueológico, destacando el Tesoro del Carambolo (tartesos) y el Museo de Artes y Cos-tumbres Populares, con colecciones de carácter etnográfico.

Exposition (1929). Two beautiful squares were built in regionalist style: the Plaza de España, made of brick and beautiful ceramic panels, and the Plaza de América, where the Archaeological Museum is also located, highlighting the Treasure of the Ca-rambolo (tartessos) and the Museum of Popular Arts and Customs where the visitor can enjoy its ethnographic collections.

FLAMENCO EN SEVILLA Sevilla es la Cuna del flamenco, y no solo du-
rante la Bienal de Flamenco, que se celebra los años pares a lo largo del mes de septiembre, está presente en la ciudad. Aunque en la Bienal el Fla-menco toma vida en algunos de sus espacios más
representativos, durante todo el año se puede disfrutar en los tablaos, peñas, museos e inclu-so en un gran número de establecimientos donde espontáneamente los asistentes se animan a bai-lar y cantar.
_FLAMENCO IN SEVILLE Seville is the cradle of flamenco, and not only
during the Bienal de Flamenco (flamenco bien-nial festival), which is celebrated in even years throughout the month of September. Although the Bienal de Flamenco comes to life in some of its

most representative spaces, during the whole year it can be enjoyed in the tablaos, clubs, museu-ms and even in a large number of establishments where spontaneously the audience dare to dance and sing.
BARRIO DE TRIANASituado en la orilla oeste del río, ofrece nume-
rosos atractivos que visitar: iglesias como la Pa-rroquia de Santa Ana (sXIII), la Capilla de los Mari-neros, donde se encuentra la imagen de la Virgen Esperanza de Triana; o la Basílica del Patrocinio, sede de la magnífica imagen del Cristo de la Expi-ración conocido como “el Cachorro”.
El centro cerámica Triana, con una exposición permanente, muestra la tradición de este barrio, y junto al Puente Isabel II conocido popularmen-te como Puente de Triana se encuentran varios atractivos como la estatua de Belmonte, la capi-llita del Carmen, el Mercado de Abastos y el Cas-tillo de San Jorge con restos arqueológicos.
_NEIGHBOURHOOD OF TRIANALocated on the west bank of the river, it offers
many attractions to visit: churches such as the Pa-rish of Santa Ana (13th century), the Chapel of the Mariners, where the image of the Virgin Esperan-za de Triana is found; or the Basilica del Patroci-
nio, seat of the magnificent image of the Christ of the Expiration known as “El Cachorro”.
The Triana ceramics centre has a permanent exhibition that shows the tradition of this neigh-bourhood, and next to the Isabel II bridge, popu-larly known as Puente de Triana, there are several attractions such as the statue of Belmonte, the Capillita del Carmen, the Mercado de Abastos and the Castle of San Jorge with archaeological remains.
LAS SETAS DE SEVILLASe trata de la estructura de madera más gran-
de del mundo. Localizada en el corazón de Sevilla, en la Plaza de la Encarnación, es de gran interes por su mirador situado a 28,5m de altura al que se accede por una pasarela peatonal sobre toda la estructura. El conjunto se completa con un mercado de abastos en planta baja, una plaza de 3000 m² y museo arqueológico (Antiquarium) en su ubicación original en el subsuelo.
_THE MUSHROOMS OF SEVILLEIt is the largest wooden structure in the world. Located in the heart of Seville, in the Plaza de la Encarnación, it is of great interest for its viewpoint located at 28.5m which is accessed by a pedes-trian walkway over the entire structure. The who-

TESOROS DE LA SEMANA SANTADeclarada de Interés turístico internacional,
durante la Semana Santa 60 hermandades pro-cesionan a la Catedral en estación de penitencia. Durante el resto del año podemos ver las tallas de las hermandades en sus capillas o en museos. Destacan entre estos espacios el “Tesoro de la Macarena” ubicado en la Basílica de la Macarena, el “Tesoro devocional Esperanza de Triana” en la capilla de los marineros en Triana y la Basílica del Gran Poder en la plaza de San Lorenzo.
_TREASURES OF THE HOLY WEEKThe Semana Santa is declared of international
tourist interest, during the Holy Week 60 brother-hoods take part in processions to the Cathedral in penance station. During the rest of the year we can see the sizes of the brotherhoods in their chape-ls or in museums. A highlight among these spaces are the “Treasure of the Macarena” located in the Basilica of the Macarena, the “Esperanza de Triana” devotional treasure in the sailors’ chapel
in Triana and the Basilica of the Gran Poder in the Plaza de San Lorenzo.
