I n just one year, we’ve been surprised by the beautiful lead singer, Ella Blake and her band The Bijoux with their debut album Chivalry is Dead. Within this year, they have won the Brit Awards’11 and up for nominations of the ‘Best Album’ award of the MTV Awards. Surely, they are soaring to the top. Miss Blake believes ‘it was all a blur to me, everything seems all surreal to me- I have only my family and friends to thank for.’ The Bijoux’s lead guitarist Jessica Murphy states the same: ‘without my family and friends’ support we’d probably be fucked and ended up performing in the depths of the tube stations.’ Amongst the fame and the success, The Bijoux are just 3 ordinary girls living in the heart of London. Ella Blake, Jessica Murphy and Cara Gordon are currently residing in L.A. balancing the fame and their education. Each of these girls want to continue their studies and each hope to attend either, Harvard, Cambridge or Oxford.

A grade students and home-schooled- it’s astounding that each of these girls have their mind focused and their head in the game. Surely, we are all under the influence that these girls are sensible- but we can’t help but question if there are any boys in their life? Surprisingly, Miss Blake is fairly open to her love life and she is currently in a relationship with the actor, James Franco (Pineapple Express) and despite the age gap, these two have seen canoodling in the roots Paris for Franco’s premiere of 127 Hours. Both have been inseparable for a year and it has been rumoured that they are both looking for an apartment in L.A. On the other hand Jessica Murphy and Cara Gordon prefer to keep their love life on the down low. Cara states ‘personally it’s about the music, I’ve always been about the music. Finding ‘that someone’ will run in it’s own course. But for now, it’s my time to live the dream.’
