Review the Douglas first draft of assessment belief statements.
Give feedback to the Administrative Team on the draft assessment belief statements.
Begin the process of determining building level benchmark assessments (fall/winter/spring).
Preview the Achievement Series on-line assessment.
Vision Statement To provide a range of assessments,
including those mandated at the federal and state levels, as measures of student learning as we “Prepare all students to meet the challenges of an ever-changing world”.
Mission How we will determine if we have
prepared all students to meet the challenges of an ever-changing world.
Take a yellow number.
Stand in front of the chart paper that has the assessment belief that matches your number.
Example:◦ If my number was #4, I would go to the chart
with the #4 assessment belief statement.
You have 2 minutes to do the following:◦ Read the belief statement out loud.◦ Record feedback on the L-hand of the T-Chart◦ Record questions on the R-hand of the T-Chart
At the end of 2 minutes, I’ll give a signal.
Move to the Right…to the next chart and repeat the process until feedback has been given on all the belief statements (charts).
You will now repeat the process to read the feedback that was given.
You will have 30 seconds per chart paper to read all the statements and questions.
This is for reading only…no additional comments are needed.
Delete any assessment that is a federal or state required or mandated assessment or used diagnostically for placement.
Choose 1-4 assessments that might best assess reading and/or math in your building.
Using a T-Chart for each assessment…◦ Discuss and record the strengths/weaknesses of
using it to benchmark students’ reading/math achievement 3x/year (fall/winter/spring).
