Construction Inspector, 7/2009 to 8/2011Erdman Anthony Associates Inc – Bradford, PA

From 7/09 to 11/09 I worked as a TA on the PENNDOT SRO 210 project in Bradford, PA. Duties included overseeing the contractor as he performed daily construction tasks. Reading and understanding project prints, plans and standards. I was responsible for assuring the proper placement of drainage pipe, bituminous materials, concrete, guide rail and earthwork throughout the project.

From 3/10 to 8/10 – The same duties as previous season were performed however; my position was promoted to a TA2.

Computations for all completed work were compiled daily and contractors were paid accordingly. Demolition of bridge structures, bridge rehab, placement of concrete in back walls, cheek walls, abutments, approaches, slip form barrier, curb and gutter, concrete box beam deck placement, witnessed and performed concrete air and slump test, cylinder moldings, steel girder structure placement, pull test, bolt torque test, hydro demolition, latex overlay of bridge decks and calibration of latex trucks. Also had limited experience in overseeing traffic signal, highway lighting and fiber interconnect operations.

From 3/2011 to 8/2011 SR 0083/047, ECMS #, York CO Harrisburg, PA District 8 – Worked with contractor Trumbull and subcontractors in eradication of existing roadway markings and line painting of new, removal of existing barrier and replacement, removal of existing bridge S-30916 turnpike ramp and S-30915 I83 structure over-turnpike, overseeing the shielding, saw cutting, deck and barrier removal, excavation, jacking of super structure and bearing replacement, non movement of class A through AAA concrete testing and placement of entire structure, performed M & P of traffic on I83 and turnpike, bituminous placement on I83, pan placement and deck pours on both structures, bidwell setup, dry and wet check runs, curing of concrete, daily paperwork, filling out PSA reports and CPM schedule and entering into computer program.
