Income Tax clinics operate to the end of April. Only basic returns are accepted and appointments are necessary. To book your appointment please call Allandale 55+ Centre at 705-728-6332, Parkview 55+ Centre at 705-737-0755 or Victoria Village Activity Centre at 705-792-3411. There is no charge for these clinics, however, donations are accepted. All donations support the “Outreach Program” at Parkview Centre. This program is geared towards older seniors living in the community who would be unable to access our Centres without the support of this program. 55+ Centres Community Income Tax Program Outdoor Solid Fuel Burning Appliance Permits Barrie Fire & Emergency Service would like to remind residents that all Outdoor Solid Fuel Burning Appliance (OSFBA) permits expired on December 31, 2011. Permits are available Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at a cost of $10.00/ year. To meet the demand for permits, BFES will also issue permits on Saturday, April 21st and Saturday, May 5th at Fire Headquarters, 155 Dunlop Street West from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Tenants require the owner’s permission in writing (e-mail/ letter) to obtain a permit. For more info call 705-728-3199 or visit Barrie.ca. How Can I Help & Prepare After over 20 years of sweeping, the City does run into some problems - the biggest being cars parked on the road. Here is how Morton suggests you prepare and help the City clean our streets: Do not leave vehicles on the road during the street sweeping period. If someone parks in front of your house while your street is being swept, call the Operations Department at 705-739-4255 and the City will attempt to return the next day. Do not sweep sand into piles on the road. Since sweepers are mechanically designed to work only on normal build-up of sand collected along the curb edge, residents are asked to leave the sand in its normal state and help the City sweep more efficiently. Don’t fret over sandy messes left behind. This could have occurred because the sweeper is to be followed by a second sweep. Or, the mess could be the result of rain, which tends to spread the sand around. In this case, the sweeper will return when it is not raining. 1 2 3 Have more questions? In conjunction with Revenue Canada, the City of Barrie 55+ Centres are offering the Community Income Tax Program. Trained volunteers assist people with low incomes or those who have difficulty completing their tax returns. You do not need to be a senior to take advantage of this program.

How Can I Help & Prepare After over 20 years of sweeping, the City does run into some problems - the biggest being cars parked on the road. Here is how Morton suggests you prepare and help the City clean our streets:

Do not leave vehicles on the road during the street sweeping period.
