GENERAL NOTES

Situation Chorley Hall Farm lies just out of the centre of the village of Chorley and can be accessed from Lichfield or from Rugeley via the A51. From Rugeley pick up the A51 signposted towards Lichfield and pass the Wishing Well Garage on the right and travel to Longdon. In Longdon take the second right into Borough Lane signposted Gentleshaw and Cannock Wood. Travel up the lane for approximately 1 mile to the T junction at Grand Lodge turn left signposted Gentleshaw. Continue ¾ mile and by the pine trees and grass triangle turn left towards Chorley with Chorley Village lying approximately ¾ mile further on. After travelling into the village go up the slight bank with Chorley Hall Farm lying on the left. From Lichfield travel into Chorley village and by the Malt Shovel Public House take Gentleshaw Lane with Chorley Hall Farm lying on the right after approximately 800 yards.

‘To the Sale’ and ‘Car Park’ signs will be erected on the morning of the sale.

Value Added Tax – The majority of the items are personal property of Mr Tony Cox and will therefore be sold free of VAT. Several larger items in the sale will be subject to VAT. Refreshments - A caterer will be in attendance on the day.

Export Purchasers – All goods must be paid for in pounds sterling (£).

VAT on Export Goods – Under regulations imposed by HM Customs & Excise, the auctioneers must account in a proper manner for VAT on export goods. Therefore, any customers who have no trading pattern record with the auctioneers must pay all VAT on the purchase price of goods on sale day. On receipt of all relevant export documentation and bills of laden (which must be received in the prescribed time limits), the auctioneers will then refund relevant VAT sums.

Buyers Premium – No buyers premium will be payable at this sale.

Telehandler Loading Facilities – Telehandler loading facilities will be available on site up until approximately 5.00pm on sale day.

Machine Hours – Machine hours have been taken as at Wednesday 11th October 2017. These are given for information purposes only and are not guaranteed by the Auctioneers. Loading It is the responsibility of the purchaser to arrange for the safe loading & transport of all and any purchases. Bagshaws are under no obligation to provide assistance in loading but on occasion they will do their best to help provided that it is not putting themselves, the purchaser or other people at risk of injury. For large, heavy and unwieldy items, specialist loading and transportation will be required for example bulk bins and tanks. The decision made by Bagshaws will be final.

FOREWORD

The sale at Chorley Hall arises as a result of the Cox family reducing all their farming activities and putting the majority of the work out to contractors. Added to this is the fact that Mr Tony Cox is now well into his mid-70’s and has decided to sell a wide range of builder’s equipment, sundries, antiquities, anvils etc. which he has collected over the last 20-21 years. There is a large array of items to be sold with no VAT in this large sale together with some excellent machinery which has seen little work. The New Holland Tractor, Kuhn Mower, Round Baler and Wrapper have been on the farm for many years and were all purchased new. They have undertaken very little work annually and are very well worthy of inspection. Purchasers should attend and bid with confidence at this varied and interesting late season sale which also includes a special entry from a local dairy unit which has already dispersed their cattle.
