How to Download a Security Certificate

You will need to download a security certificate in order to login to the Verify Platform. Follow the instructions below to download the Verify Platform Secured Certificate.
The Verify Platform is compatible with recent versions of Microsoft’s Internet Explorer (IE). The use of other web browsers may cause webpage display issues.
1. In your web browser, enter www.factualdata.com and click [Enter>>].
2. Click [Get Certificate>>].
» *If you are an existing client, you will not see the Get Certificate button; click [New and existing client setup >>] at the top right and follow the steps below.
3. Click [Verify Platform Secured Certificate>>].
4. Once the Office Code, Client Code, Cert Password, and Cert Description is entered, click [Submit >>].
» *This information can be obtained from the Factual Data Sales Representative or by calling the Account Services group at (800) 275-3389.

5. If the certificate was downloaded successfully, an “Installation Complete” message will populate (screen shot provided below).
» To add your certificate as a “Favorite,” Right-click here and select “Add to Favorites.”
» Once the “Installation Complete” screen populates, you will be able to access the username and password screen from your “Favorites” or from https://ww.factualdata.com (below is a screenshot of the new username and password login screen).
6. Enter the username and temporary password that was sent to your email address by your software administrator and click [LOGIN >>].

8. The first time that you log into the Verify Platform, you will need to change the temporary password that was sent to your email address. Follow the directions on the “Change Password” page and click [Submit >>].
9. Enter your username and newly created password and click [LOGIN >>].
10. Next, fill out your profile page (if you have not already).
» The First Name, Last Name, Business Phone, Fax, Employee ID, and Email will be prefilled with the data that was input at the time that the username was created
» Verify that the information is correct (make any additions/changes as needed) » Enter your email address in the Confirm Email field » Enter 2 Security Q&A’s that you would know the answer to » Enter your Current Password » Click [Submit >>]

11. After clicking [Submit >>], you will see the following screen. Click [Continue >>].
12. At this point, the certificate download is complete and you are ready to start using the Verify Platform.
