35 DINING DOWNTOWN LAS VEGAS HEART ATTACK GRILL The perfect restaurant for Sin City, Heart Attack Grill is all about gluttony. Upon being seated (dressed in a hospital gown), guests are given complimentary cotton candy by the nurse-clad wait staff—doctor’s orders! Customers can then choose from four different hamburgers ranging from the half- pound Single Bypass Burger to the two-pound Quadruple Bypass Burger—a Guinness World Record holder at 9,983 calories (that’s with 20 slices of bacon on it). The fresh-cut Flatliner Fries are deep-fried in pure lard, and the Frosty-like ButterFat Shake has actual chunks of butter in it. Although the hospital- themed restaurant is against counting calories, a scale and blood pressure machine are available for those who want to compare stats before and after their indulgent meal. TRIPLE GEORGE GRILL Serving dry-aged steaks and Bay Area-style seafood for lunch and dinner, Triple George Grill is truly a downtown treasure. Start your meal with the yummy Baked Goat Cheese Marinara before digging in to the New York Steak topped with garlic herb butter or the Seafood Cioppino: shrimp, scallops, clams, mussels, fish and crab in an herb tomato broth. Wash everything down with one of the restaurant’s award-winning martinis— cocktails fit for Roger Sterling himself! VIC & ANTHONY’S STEAKHOUSE INSIDE GOLDEN NUGGET Featuring a selection of USDA Prime Midwest grain-fed beef, this vintage Vegas- themed steakhouse serves some of the most savory steaks in town, like the 16-ounce Prime Ribeye. It also offers a wide variety of seafood dishes, from Roasted Salmon to Live Maine Lobster. Portions are fairly large, so be sure to pace yourself, as you’ll want to save room for your entrée—although the Steakhouse Chopped Salad (mixed greens tossed with white and yellow cheddar cheese, salami and vinaigrette) is so delightful, it’ll be tough not to finish!
