to DPG Polytechnic

We are going to be exposed to very fast changes in technological developments and innovations of science. The future mode of teaching and learning process is definitely going to take a new turn. The age of computers has ushered in our day to day work has become child's play. But we have to certainly look forward to a lot of excitement about the changes likely to occur in the coming decades, which has thrown up a new challenge to tackle all this by strengthening and restructuring the technical education.

DPG Polytechnic since its inception from the year 2007 is taking suitable measures to meet the dynamic changes and developments of the actual world of work. The mission of the DPG Polytechnic is continuous progress in the field of imparting quality technical education to the students and does not believe on resting on its previous achievements, that is why in a short span of time it has gained its position in the top ranking Polytechnics of not only Haryana State but also Northern India in the field of academics, extra curricular activities and placements which is the ultimate goal of a Polytechnic.

To give impetus to higher technical education, to meet futuristic global standards, to inbuild high patterns of discipline and character building, to make students technically strong, in short to improve the total quality of life is what DPG is all about.

With this core goal in mind, the Ch.Partap Singh Memorial Charitable Trust came up

with its first Institution named DPG Polytechnic in 2007. Today it is a well established

institute spread over 23 acres of land in absolutely pollution free surroundings.

Educational initiatives have further inspired the Association to establish a DPG

Instititute of Technology & Management with all the modern amenities and computer

education with internet facility. The Management plans to add new educational course

every year with a goal to attain the status of Deemed University in coming future so

that quality education in coming future every field becomes available under one roof

for the convenience of the students.

In order to provide a highly technical environment and to cultivate the talents of the

students the institution aims to false all possible adversities regarding this.

In order to provide a highly technical environment to cultivate basic technical skills

and impart excellent training to the students and to produce promising professionals

in every field, a good deal of infrastructure, in terms of well equipped laboratories,

computer labs with latest version systems and rich libraries with a wide range of

quality books and journals, have been made available separately for Engineering

students. The institution has a highly qualified, experienced, dedicated and motivating

faculty and supporting technical staff. Besides regular faculty, visiting professors from

eminent institutions, universities and reputed industries are invited on regular basis to

augment the teaching and academic work of DPG Polytechnic.

The most important aspect of DPG Polytechnic's philosophy is to emphasises on self

learning. The role of DPG Polytechnic classroom learning is meant primarily for

theoretical and conceptual inputs. Combining lectures with group learning, real life

case studies and hands on exercise consolidates classroom learning further.

Technology is advancing at an incredible pace & in order to keep pace with these changes the institute provides hi-tech labs for learning the latest in field of computers & effectively managing the changes in this fiercely competitive environment.

subjects but since we call them

"Would be Managers" so in their

professional life they are required to

do "Decision Making" Thus they need

to have elementary knowledge about various subjects of applied

fully dedicated & sincere faculty.

To support the proper functioning of institution, the principal has appointed the

senior faculty to act as officer in charge of administration, training & placement cell,

academic and NCC activities to handle the day to day problems of the students.

& PLACEMENT CELL

Training and placement of students is one

of the main objectives of the institute. The

college is very much concerned with the

necessity and importance of training &

placement right from the inception. As a

result, a full fledged training & placement

cell has been established in the college

under the guidance of Sh. Rakesh Dabas.

The training & placement cell provides all

necessary facilities required for its smooth and effective functioning. The cell also

arranges industrial training for all the final year students in reputed organisations and

puts its best efforts for their placement. In this context, the institute keeps regular

contact with various industries through letters, telephones, E-mail, consultants and

personal visits.

Experts from the industries and other professional organisations are invited for

delivering lectures/seminars to the students to make them aware of the latest

developments in the industry. The cell also organises entrepreneur awareness campus,

workshop and seminars to encourage the students to become entrepreneurs.

LIBRARY

A well stocked library has been established in the

heart of college campus having splendid collection of

books (Above 19,000) to help the students &

lecturers to gain easy access to the latest information

in the field of technology. The primary aim is to

provide material to carry out a balance between

studies & technology best suited to present

conditions and enable the students to compete in the

international arena. A book bank scheme is implemented to help students to obtain

the latest books free of cost by depositing a nominal security refundable on

completion of their studies. A number of popular journals & periodicals both Indian &

foreign have been subscribed for the benefit of all types of readers.

The internet now a days has become a very useful source of knowledge. To increase the students abilities , campus provides the facility of wi-fi , so that the educational skills of students are not only garnished by the faculty but students can also learn as fast they can from Internet. The wi-fi campus not only fulfills the requirements of education but it also makes a connection with outer world from any part of the campus very easily. There is a separate IT-cell to maintain a proper and fair use of College Internet. Campus Internet is secured by MAC Registration, Account login over ssl, wpa2 Encryption so that no illegal activities would not go un-noticed and proper actions can be taken if any one is found indulged in these things. To fulfill all the needs of speed, the bandwidth of the campus is increased to 8mbps which will be increased in future if required.

College has an on-campus dispensary to facilitate students with first-aid and minor health issues.

The institute celebrates its sports day in the month of February every year.

Various awards & consolation prizes are distributed among the students for their

To develop overall personality of students and promote the holistic growth, we encourage the

participation of our students in organising cultural and literary activities. With a blend of culture from

different parts of India, the institute has nurtured itself in the dynamic world. Various festivals

The college celebrate its Annual day function in the month of February every year. The

the State Board of Technical Education Haryana held at Govt. Polytechnic Nilokheri.

CODE OF CONDUCT

1. On admission every student shall secure an identity card. On demand every

student has to produce it. 2. While on campus, students are required to take care of their belongings and no

responsibility for any loss or damage can be held by the institute. 3. Any absence from the institute has to be supported by an application. It is

necessary to submit an application for any absence of more than 3 days (for

reason of ill health, a doctor's certificate is essential) duly endorced by the parents. 4. Prescribed practical training in the field, shall be undergone by all the students. 5. All changes in address of residence should be submitted to the institute. 6. Students shall observe all safety precautions while working and the institute will

not be responsible for any injury/loss sustained within the institute. However first

aid will be provided immediately. 7. Fines if ever imposed are only to improve/enforce discipline. 8. A student shall not involve himself/herself in any incident outside the institute

which brings discredit to the institute or the student. 9. Students shall abide by the Library rules to utilise library facilities.

10.Students must be punctual at the beginning of the day and in all classes and

programmes.

11.Students are required to behave politely and avoid using of actions that hurt the

feeling of others.

12.The students are expected to exhibit exemplary behaviour, discipline and good

conduct. The institute will not be responsible for any unearthing

incident/misconduct or mishappening with the students outside the institution.

13.Students shall abide by the rules and regulations of the institution stipulated from

time to time.

14.A student is not eligible to receive any refund of the Tuition Fees and other

charges paidfor the year.

15.If the dues are not paid by the due date, a late payment fee as prescribed after the

due date (including holidays) shall be realised.
