DPS, BOKARO‘Feast to the Eyes’-Fancy Dress
Competition Begins
• Fosters Creativity and Ability of Expression
• Day 1: 165 Students from Nursery participated
• Enthralled Parents Participate Enthusiastically
With the motto to blend learning with fun and to develop confidence in the little ones by
giving them an opportunity to get on the stage and speak in front of an audience a
three-day fancy dress competition began at DPS Bokaro (Primary Wing) in the Bharat
Muni Kala Bhawan here on 11th October 2016.
The tiny toddlers of Nursery came dressed in various costumes and expressed their
feelings in innocent and melodious voice. The style of acting, presentation, dialogue was
praiseworthy. The theme of the Competition was based on Characters from rhymes;
Puppets and Dolls; and Fashion Show Models.0020 165 students of class Nursery
participated.There were parents as well who shared the stage along with the students.
Dr. Hemlata S. Mohan, Director and Principal, DPS, Bokaro lauded the talented
performance of the students and stressed on the importance of such events. She said that
participation in such events help in developing the creativity of students. For tiny tots this
was a first-time real experience of ‘Learning with Fun’ on stage.
Dr. Mohan further added that apart from studies such events are important for overall
development of the students. She urged the parents to understand the emotions of the
students and help them in their development.
The winners of the competition were awarded with the prizes and a Certificate of
Participation by the Director & Principal, Dr. Hemlata S. Mohan while the efforts of the
participating parents were acknowledged with gifts.
Amongst the judges’ present were Dr. Urvashi Talwar, Mrs. Mahashweta and
Mr. G. Natarajan Parmeswaran. The judges praised the kids for their efforts and wonderful
costumes.
THREE DAY FANCY DRESS COMPETION AT DPS PRIMARY WING
• ENCHANTING PERFORMANCE BY THE TINY TOTS OF CLASS PREP.
On the second day the students of Class Prep left the audience spell bound
by a wonderful exhibition of their creative skills and acting prowess.
Portraying varied topics like mythological characters, characters from the
world of advertisements, hawkers and helps the students presented
mesmerizing performances. The highlights of the performances were the
colourful costumes with emphasis on the minutest details of props, powerful
dialogue delivery and heartwarming expressions, which brought the stage
alive and vibrating.
The Director and Principal, Dr. Hemlata S. Mohan, appreciated and
applauded the efforts and creativity of the students.
The winners were presented certificates by the Headmistress Pratima Sinha.
The parents, who performed, on the occasion, they were appreciated and
presented with gifts.
