Enacting stories has a positive influence on children. They should imbibe this art of enacting stories as it is a part of their curriculum.

Keeping this in mind “A Ride to the Fables” was held in which Class I enacted on different fables like The Pied Piper of the Hamelin, Hansel and Gretel and Ant and the Grasshopper. Children took part with great enthusiasm.

DPS Panipat City leaves no stone unturned in helping its students to reach unattainable heights and consistently searches for ways to expose students to the global academia. To fulfil this vision it organised an Awareness Workshop on Foreign University Admissions for Classes X, XI & XII on Wednesday, 15th November 2017 in the school premises. Representatives of eminent universities from England and Scotland were present on the occasion and were welcomed by the Principal, Ms. Archna Jain.Representatives from Anglia Ruskin University, Birbeck, University of London, Goldsmith University, Keel University, University of Surrey, Leeds Beckett University, University of Lincoln, Oxford Brookes University, Robert Gordon University, Royal Agricultural University, University of Southampton & University of York, educated the young scholars to understand how to choose a University,

the importance of projects and internships, ways to reach out to the foreign University Professors and the procedures invo lved in get t ing transferred to a foreign university of their choice. It also highlighted the various sources of financial aid available.Students, almost at the threshold of their long journey into higher education, flocked in groups in quest of information from the exceptional opportunity provided by the school.Their insatiable desire to obtain as much information as possible was evident from the questions pouring out which were catered to by the knowledgeable teams. The Pro Vice Chairman, Mr. Amit Rana and the Principal, Ms. Archna Jain, visibly pleased with the fruitful interactions of the day, promised to maintain this streak and provide more of such opportunities in future.

CBSE Workshop on Importance of Mathematics was conducted at DPS Panipat City. Mr. Neeraj Saxena, the resource person with an outstanding Mathematics background empowered all the par t ic ipants immense ly by equipping them with myriad ideas to make teaching enriching, interesting and fun filled, adding an embellishing edge to explore new avenues of Maths. He discussed the meaning and importance of Bloom's Taxonomy and stressed on the importance of innovative methods of teaching to overcome the child's phobia for the subject.

He emphasized on improving the bond with the students and being demonstrative in the classroom to help them grasp the concepts taught. Teachers from many schools of Panipat attended the workshop and found the sessions very enriching.

The Principal, Ms. Archna Jain said that the workshop gave a potent platform to the teachers to adopt innovative ways of teaching the subject to evoke interest of students. The new approaches will go a long way in creating better teaching and learning situations in the classrooms.

DPS Panipat City celebrated Children's Day with immense fervour and enthusiasm. There was a special assembly by junior wing followed by an entertainment programme by teachers. They enthralled the children with their splendid performances in singing and reciting poems like kids. It was a joyous moment for all watching and spurts of laughter echoed in the environment. Skit depicting childhood days was the special feature and immensely enjoyed by all. It ended with a short speech by the Principal, Ms. Archna Jain, who encouraged students to live their

life to the fullest, meticulously choosing their path through their journey, leaving no place for regrets. The students then dispersed for special matches of Volleyball, Cricket and Basketball o rg a n i z e d b y t h e S p o r t s Department to keep the spirit of the day alive and an activity close to the heart of young ones. The day was filled with enormous energy and kids were engrossed in free style dance parties and many other events. School made the day memorab le by d is t r ibu t ing chocolates to all.

OF OUR TINY TOTS

Fashion Show was organized in Pre-Primary wing to celebrate Children's day. Tiny Tots celebrated i t w i th great pass ion and excitement. Children were dressed up with beautiful attire of vibrant colours. The girls were dressed up in beautiful gowns and boys wore

formal coat pant with goggles. Children were found enthusiastic performing ramp walk on the floor. The children were thrilled to get chocolates and chips. The event ended with the short discussion on 'Chacha Nehru' and why Children's day is celebrated. 05

Salads form a very important part in our daily diet. To explain the same, grade one kids had 'salad making activity'with the help of their teachers. Kids were very excited

with the idea of making salad in school. All the kids relished and enjoyed their bowl of salad. Most of kids finished and asked for more, while others gave it a try.
