I have known Aunali since he began our neurology residency program as a PGY2 and he has never ceased to impress me with his knowledge, skills, passion, and maturity. He is a well mannered resident who shows great initiative and leadership. He has been active with both our national professional society and our state professional society. He is working on a health policy article with me, as well as presenting research at the Florida Society of Neurology Annual Meeting, and co-authored two chapters in an upcoming second edition text on sleep, which shows just some of his many facets. He had outstanding scores on his in-service examination. On our most recent faculty evaluation of our residents, Aunali was cited as a great blend of all physician skills; dazzling work ethic, bright, great patient skills, someone who never has to be told twice, documents reasoning very well, a pleasure to teach, demonstrates a lot of empathy for patients, and triages very well. He has been chosen by our department to be our next Chief Resident. Aunali is a great resident, and I know he will make for you a great fellow. If he were so inclined as to pursue a fellowship in behavioral neurology, I would take him in an instant. In summary, you should offer Aunali a position in your sleep fellowship forthwith before someone else snatches him up. If I can be of any further assistance in furthering Aunali’s application to your program do not hesitate to contact me. Aunali has waived his right to read this letter. Glen R.
