Canada Place on Vancouver’s

Waterfront. Available volunteer

positions include but are not

limited to: Information Kiosks,

Site Maintenance, Line Moni-

tors/Ushers (like the singer),

Stagehands and Runners, Tal-

ent/Volunteer Assistants, Citi-

zenship Ceremony Assistants,

O Canada, we stand on guard

for thee! Canada day is coming

up! Quick, what year was the

Canadian federation formed? If

you didn’t immediately yell out

1867, then you should definitely

go to the Canada Day celebra-

tion as a volunteer to teach both

yourself and others about what a

great nation we are! Come be a

part of the 147th Anniversary

Celebration of our great nation,

not to mention the LARGEST

Canada Day celebration in

Western Canada. Every year,

over 250 volunteers help wel-

come over 250,000 guests who

enjoy free events and festivities.

The event will take place on

Attendants, and Greeters. There

are set requirements however;

“Volunteers must be at least 16-

years-old…[must] be able to

commit to a minimum of 8

hours of volunteer work”

If you meet these requirements

and would like to help out,

Canada Day Volunteer Opportunities

Want see ladies/gentlemen in

their underwear? Wow, that

sounded very perverted… Lets

give that another try. Want to

see ladies/gentlemen in their

underwear to help uncover the

cure for underfunded below-

the-waist cancers? Well, its

getting there… If you an-

swered yes to any of the previ-

ous questions (don’t worry, I

won’t judge you), you are a

perfect match for the BC Can-

cer Foundations Underwear

Affair happening on July 5th.

Events include the competitive

10K and the walk the fun 5K,

or the Booty Hunt event. Vol-

unteering however, is broken

down into 2 main types; the

Pre-Race Day Volunteers, and

the Race Day Volunteers. If

you have any questions about

the event, make sure you are

on the Charles Best Key Club

Facebook Page as updates will

be posted regularly about it.

Feel free to contact any of the

executives (Most won’t judge

you, some might… no promis-

es) about the event and we will

be happy to help in any way. If

more involved in The Under-

together with Gleneagle and Pi-

netree to host the Amazing Race!

High School students from

Grade 9—12 from throughout

the district will compete in

groups of 4 to win the a special

prize! The event will take place

on June 25th, at Lafarge Lake @

Coquitlam Center. All profits

will be donated towards the

Eliminate Project aimed at cur-

ing maternal neonatal tetanus.

Registrations forms can be print-

ed off from the Charles Best Key

Club Facebook Group and hand-

ed in to any member of the exec-

utive board.

Come show your pride

and start off the beginning

of Pride Week with a

BANG! The 2014 annual

pride run and walk is once

again happening here in

Vancouver BC! This year,

the Pride Run and Walk

features a 10K Run or a

5K Run/Walk to raise

money for Out in Schools

and the Qmunity Pride

Legacy Fund. The event will

take place at the Brockton

Oval in Stanley Park on Sat-

urday July 26th, at 9:30

A.M. If you are interested,
