Faculty Development Program (FDP)

The FDP encompasses the areas of Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical and Environmental Engineering. FDP is planned to impart the knowledge to participants through the eminent resource persons who are expert in these fields. Initiation of the program starts with water resources terminology & planning, use of water to generate the power, controlling and distribution of power for specified applica-tions. In addition, it also includes the environmental im-pacts and various technologies related to water treatment.

The objectives of the FDP are:

To explore the different water resources area and planning.

To update about state - of - art technological development in hydro turbo machines field.

To know IEC standard performance testing techniques.

To learn the different numerical models to analyze the different machineries in hydro field.

To deliberate on electrical (micro grid) and environmental issues.

To brief about various water treatment technologies.

Experts : Experts from Industries, IIT’s, NIT’s and others renowned institutes have been invited as resource persons.

Eligibility : Faculty members of GTU affiliated Institutes having ISTE life-membership are eligible. Those faculty members who are not members can become ISTE member at the time of enrollment.

The Sarvajanik College of Engineering and Technology (SCET), established in 1995, is a leading institution in South Gujarat, managed by Sarvajanik Education Society. SCET being the oldest self financed engineering institute in Gujarat, caters technical education to more than 2500 students, offering 9 U.G. and 7 P.G. programs which encompasses Civil, Chemical, Computer, Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Information Technology, Instrumentation and Control, Mechanical, Textile Technology and Master of Computer Application. Registration Fee is Rs. 1000/- for faculty

members of GTU affiliated Institutes. It

includes course fee, working lunch and refresh-

ments during the FDP. The participants will bear

the travelling expenses of their travel.

Accommodation facility will be available on

chargeable basis.
