• Nurse Liaison role has provided a value perspective in terms of representing the needs of nurses; nurse representatives also on some Branch Councils
• General Council has met quarterly to ensure input from States in terms of ongoing planning for the Society’s development
• Governance Manual has been revised
• Organisational assessment survey results reported to general Council indicating education of Council members important for understanding working or association and responsibilities
• Advice - ANZSOM continues its membership to Association Executive Services and Australian Society of Association Executives to secure input and training to guide ongoing improvements

• There are currently 229 members (including Honorary members and Emeritus members) ◦ Compared to 236 in 2015 and 237 in 2014 at the same time ◦ Renewals by branch variable:
55% of WA and SA/NT members have renewed
77% NSW/ACT
67% QLD
65% VIC/TAS
• There have been 24 new members since January (compared with 37 at the same time last year and 56 total for 2015)
• 37 members are part of Corporate Group memberships

• Annual Scientific Meeting remains a key activity for the Society, aiming: ◦ for increasing professionalism and increasing attendance
◦ for increased participation
◦ to serve the needs of medical, nursing and other professionals
◦ to contribute to the financial sustainability of the organisation
Continuing professional development
• Branch meetings are an important member service and are a key reason for members joining the society ◦ We need to maintain / grow the level of activity
◦ We need to consider a variety of formats including weekend and evening meetings
◦ Local activities need to appeal to doctors and nurses

E-Learning Platform
• E-Learning has been a focus federally over the last 4 years
• Launched in May 2013
• Provider: Learning Seat
• Limited use has lead to decision to cease the LMS and host presentations directly on the website
• Supported by “Learning Update” bulletins via email to alert members to the presentations and other external education resources
• Hits to the website being monitored to establish interest in this approach
• A dedicated working group is guiding this work and reporting to CPD committee
E-Learning Platform
• There have been a total of 1013 views of the online learning
resources page since the transition in February 2016. The
online learning resources page falls within the top ten most
viewed contents.
• Page views peaked in April and June which could be
attributed to e-marketing and promotional activities
undertaken during those months (e.g. learning update emails,
uploading of new modules and eNewsletters)

Website • The Google analytics reporting period is from 1 Aug 2015 to
31 Jul 2016.
• A total of 10,208 website sessions and 37,854 page views were generated by 6,261 users within the reporting period. Each session duration lasted an average of 3 minutes, 11 seconds.
• Website sessions, page views and average session duration increased compared to the previous reporting period from Aug 2014 to Jul 2015 (0.4%, 5.9% and 12.3% respectively).
• The number of users (-10.3%) and first time users (-11.5%) have decreased.
• Most sessions were conducted via the desktop (79%), followed by mobile devices (16%) and tablet devices (5%)
